The US 20 route looks to be a straight shot to Interstate 90 serving as a shortcut though
Rockford has one of the most dangerous cities in the United States right now. Chicago on the Other hand is not as bad if you take South side Chicago and one of their neighborhoods out of the equation but Rockford is on that list with St Louis and Detroit and Memphis

That's on a per capita basis. And again that's no longer true today. St. Louis holds the title today.

Rockford IL has some of the nastiest broken rotted roads in the state of Illinois... from my last experience through the area
