I didn't have any problem peeing for 77 years until after my 4 kidney stone surgeries. Now I can't use the toilet as I pee sideways, up and down and in a spray.

I am bleeding each time I urinate, During cysto my urologist would not push past the bulbar area stricture and sent me to a specilist .He said he thinks he will do the visual U but I know it has a high failure rate, I do not want the major surgery either because of multiple co morbidities so I hope maybe the drug coated Optilume may work. I am scared so badly of having retention which I had after 6 courses of IMRT ( I stopped and choose to switch to SBRT which was over 18 months ago. Need advice

After hearing the words straddle injury reminded me of the chain on my bike slippin and falling on that bar... buddy let me tell ya I'd jump off it hurt so bad.. I ran like trying to catch a rabbit.. lol and I've had the rezume producer I dread having to go back go through all that again🙄

You should see your doctor straight away. You can use urine dipsticks to monitor for possible UTI which are common with strictures. If it is a confirmed stricture you will need to have some form of procedure to remedy it. It is also important to rule any sort of prostate enlargement which can cause similar symptoms. Possible procedures include urethral dilation, urethrotomy, and urethroplasty. In the meantime, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, as UTI are common, and good hydration with frequent urination are good at preventing UTI from occurring.
