Urbex: Hopelessly SHABBY ABANDONED House
Ойын-сауық
Another Spring of 2015 exploration of a very derelict abandoned house. While exploring this abandoned house, there was a newspaper inside dating back to 1991 and I wouldn't doubt it has been sitting that long. It likely won't be lasting much longer before it starts to collapse. Thanks for watching! :)

Another nice tour! Years ago when I was in Trade School It was taught that the reason these 100+ yr old built homes have wall paper was because the paint was very, very expensive. It cost more to paint a house than it did to build it way back then. The wall paper was far less costly than paint. With WWI came the development of cheaper Latex paint. ..People went crazy with it and started painting all the "old Fashioned"wood work! Hence the beautiful wood work destroyed in the 1920s. Thanks again Tiki!

Me too. So that's why we sometimes see those many layers of wallpaper. Thank you for providing an answer as to why.

Interesting
There's something about this little place that touched a lot of viewers-so many nice comments. It was a small but very cozy house, very bright and open, and there's a sense that people were happy living there. You did a really nice job on this one, Pam.

+Kittydoc90 Thanks, Cristina. I must admit, I do have a lot of awesome subscribers, including yourself!
Your narration is a pleasure to listen to. Such a beautiful voice!
This seems to be an economical farm house, circa 1900. The asphalt siding of that type was popular in the 1920's and 30's. The cost at the time for such a house would have been $600 ~ $800. It shows various upgrades; Probably indoor plumbing , heating and electricity. Once it probably was full of family struggling to keep afloat. Later, a neighbor would have bought it for the land. For awhile it was a low cost tenant house. Eventually too many problems so now it stands in the wind and rain dying with slow neglect the plight of most abandoned structures. Somewhere, to this day, there are remnants of the family, the children who grew up here. I love this house because it pulls on my memories. Your videos are great.

Jim Key so interesting, thanks for sharing. It’s so huge. Lot of potential.
You are definitely the best urban explorer I've ever seen!! The explainations and the slowly moving camera so we can actually see the things left behind is awesome I've came across some pretty awful ones so bad that I'm actually screaming at the screen for them to slow down lol just wanted to say Thank You #TikiTrex for my new obssesion!!! 😀😊😁

agreed! and so many urbex people have the dumbest observations to share...
i can see that this home really used to be beautiful. id love to live in a place like this out in the country
I miss your videos. I rewatching your videos over because I believe you're the best 'explorer'. I can't wait till you move and then continue your adventurers. I feel like I'm there with you when you make these videos. You go about each property that makes sense, so that one can visualise a floor plan. I also love that you go slow that we can see things properly, and you also talk your way through the video explaining things.

Undulated.Deteriorated.Dilapidated. I just LOVE the way she pronounces her words-but my favourite is the way she says words with "ou" in them-like "out","shout","house" etc. I can't explain what it is about her voice-it sounds very homely and friendly and when I watch these videos her voice puts me at ease-such a beautiful voice to listen to. I'm a huge fan!!!

That's the kind of homes we get around here, smaller country homesteads! Those concrete slabs outside, look like sidewalk slabs that never got put down...thought maybe they had been pulled up for someone to take but they look new! Thanks for the tour!
TikiTrex, thank you for these tours. I'm not as mobile as i used to be and these bring back memories and are great to watch! You are preserving each individual history and i hope it stays on the web eternally. A lot of these houses have so much character; they aren't run of the mill cookie cutter homes. It's as if the houses have souls and you are keeping their histories alive! ❤
5:30. It's amazing that a house has been sitting so long and the toilet, tub, and sink haven't been smashed by vandals.
It's nice to see a place without graffiti and destruction from others. This entire place looks legitimately tore up as a result of time. I always think, "this place was brand new at one point", when I see these videos. Excellent find!
"floors are sturdy, buckled and undulated" Oh myyyy. Love your descriptions. Happy and safe explorations Pam.
Thanks for posting this - always look forward to tour videos - they're so well done!
Always fun tagging along, thanks Tiki.
Has anyone noticed that her vids are like ASMR vids? I feel so relaxed when watching it especially with that scotching sunlight, her smooth voice, birds sounds and crinkling old house.

Yes, doesn't she have the most beautiful voice? It's like honey, smooth and lovely.
Looks like you found the wallpaper house. The wallpaper in the kitchen was very interesting, along with the blue in the bath. Looked like very questionable floors. Great explore! Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for taking us along.

One of the most interesting places I have yet to see. That is an old old place. I love it!!! Thanks for sharing.
I love the way you give great commentary and great filming so we get a really good look at everything. Keep up the good work.
Shame, a pretty little house in it's time, and what a wonderful remote, peaceful location. Thanks Pam :D
I love your videos and was very excited when I got the notification of a new one. Yeah! Keep up the great work!
Excellent as always, Tiki.
Very wonderful video as always and glad you were able to capture the state it is in but stayed safe at the same time.
So I pretty much binged watched all your videos, so bonus to find you had uploaded a new one was sweet. You do an awesome job! Thanks.
I really love this channel. You do such a good job of exploring! I have watched maybe half of the videos that are uploaded, maybe a little more and have enjoyed every single one!! I subscribed only a month ago but have been watching your explores for about a year and look forward to seeing these places through your camera lens!! Thanks for all the great videos and be safe!!!
The old houses are the prettiest and the most interesting

Short but still sweet Pam. As always thanks for the adventure . Cute little farm house.
Your voice is so soothing to listen to while you explore.
I really like your style, you miss very little and it makes the viewer feel youre there in realtime , binged on all your vids, thanks for sharing the experience. Looking foward to future vids .
ms tiki I love ur videos I watch one and have seen every one since I like. how u go into detail with everything I vote u number one!!!!
I love all the old door knobs. It's interesting that the kind with keyholes would be in what's supposedly a more modern home.
Another great one! Thank you so much for making my day!
Love to watch your videos. I cant wait for new ones.
I like the little pantry by the kitchen. Cute. History of the home in wallpaper layers.
A great find enjoyed exploring with you ..be safe
That house had some scary floors, I was worried you was going to fall through, more so up-stairs. You take care and thanks for showing us that one.
Thank you!
You have a nice peaceful way about yourself..very polarizing and entertaining:) rock on!
Aww, What a Pleasant Surprise to see this, Missed ya Pam..
Such finds you encounter! Stay safe! Those floors were sketchy! I always wonder if you ever return to see what happens next? Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!
What a lovely title! Great video as always. Thanks!
Certainly looks like it's been empty for quite a while! It's fascinating how you manage to find these amazing buildings. Love the wallpaper in the kitchen. Great video, thanks. :)
What no christmas items?? Oh well at least there was the lone chair!
I could listen to this lady all day; she sounds gorgeous! Her videos are the best of all the other ones I've seen! Would be great if she could come and explore places around Australia!
Thank you for getting this.
omg, the globe covering the light bulb in the kitchen ceiling is just like the one in our kitchen in the house I grew up in in Palm Springs Calif. It was built in 1951. we just sold it 4 years ago. our parents bought it in 1960. I knew the new owners would remodel, so I took it with me as a little keepsake. I've never seen one like it till now!
love your video as always!
Thanks Tiki
Awesome spot!!
please come back. we miss you very much. Your videos are such a joy to watch. Keep them coming. Great work as always. many thanks from all of us here at. THE CB SHOP OF COLEBROOK NH Also on KZread now.
Loved that elephant wallpaper. Thanks Tiki
You are not afraid of getting through the worked when you risk you in of also the watch over houses. J'attend avec impatience tes nouvelles aventures, kisses of france.
Hi Tiki. Funny.....just as you were saying "definitely abandoned a long time." I was thinking the exact same thing! Neat little place at one time. Thank you. Take care.
Short but awesome video! This is one cool dilapidated but neat house!
little paint as good as new
Pam just as you showed the lone chair I said 'The Lone Chair" at the same time you did lol Love the old farm houses like that people haven't destroyed. It's just normal age of the house and it looks just as it should. Wish you could post more do love how good your videos are. You really do a professional job with your videos.

this one made me nervous... when you were on the second floor I was just holding my breath
Great video, as usual.
there is an abandoned farm near where i live except everything is caved in due to a storm we had back 16 years ago hope you doing good and keep making your awesome exploration videos. and the concrete slabs i think are paving slabs for like sidewalks.i was honestly surprised that basement wasn't flooded.
I watch a lot of explorations, and you are the best!!!!

Definitely very old and great explore!
Fresh paint and curtains would do wonders for this little gem
Very funky old wallpaper!!
I was a little worried when i saw all those shot gun shells...I'm really glad when you find those old houses, it's like opening a time capsule and your always very respectful of the locations that you explore...I look forward to following you into the next house; be well my friend and keep on trekkin :)
Cool old house
Looks like it was a charming house at one time!
I enjoyed the explore as always, Tiki. I'm surprised you went upstairs; I could see the floors were badly deteriorated. As usual, an abandoned chair--but no Christmas decorations!
A spirited farm exploration. Headphones recommended. "Andy" at 1:34. "Momma!" at 1:52-1:53. "He was here!" at 2:21. "It was bigger" (basement) at 2:36. "This is not your house!!!" at 3:47-3:48. Thanx for exploring.
I know I say this all the time but, you do a fabulous job and your my favorite explorer and I do enjoy your videos sooooo much. please please keep up the excellent job👍👍👍

Many thanks, Sherry! Your comments mean a lot.
I often wonder what these places looked like when they were new. I bet there are a lot that happened in them, if only the walls could talk. It's always sad to see them abandoned like that for some reason. Thanks anyhow, always interesting.
Originally, I'll bet a lot of work went into building and decorating this farmhouse - nice vibes there (even though the place is collapsing!) Very brave of you to venture inside - Wow! Well done!
Was just thinking ...I would love seeing some new videos... And wahla....you posted your newest...thanks for posting. 😷
That was a very old farmhouse. It used to have a wood cook stove in the kitchen. it looked like someone at sometime enclosed the landing upstairs for a bathroom. Love the layout & the country kitchen.

+Tresa Lamb Whenever the cast iron pipes are on the outside of the walls it shows the house didn't have indoor plumbing, Its pretty rare to see houses with shingles for siding
@tresalamb2793

SuperAceuno1-It was pretty common in the 50s. My grandparent's house had green shingles on the outside. At least, in Oklahoma it was.

Tresa Lamb I've often seen shingles in the upper sections of the gables and on dormers but not on whole houses, Back when Sears Roebuck sold house kits they hand a sandstone siding shingle that was unique making it easy to identify those kit homes
@tresalamb2793

SuperAceuno1-Really? I haven't seen a Sears kit house. Here in Oklahoma, it was common in the 50s. Different areas have different housing ideas. My grandfather never had to mess with the outside of his house except for the trim & roof. Probably why he did it.
I sometimes wonder if these houses were EVER in good condition. This one, in particular. Good video, Pam. Not much inside but, as you said, not much you can do about that.
Late 60s/early 70s wallpaper in the kitchen. Archie Bunker chair in the LR. 40s (at least) plumbing fixtures. Amazing how that structure is still standing despite the rough weather of Ontario. Families called this small and humble structure home for how long.
another good one! I enjoy your videos alot! In my area (southern central Michigan near Ohio border) there are many places like this...I'm more nervous to enter than a Detroit abandonment.. You have nerves of steel!
Amazing how many comments you got in just one day! I gave up clicking "Show More"! At this moment you have over 3600 views! Really? A shopping cart in the crawl space? Mysteries abound!
That green exercise thing is called a Bull Worker they were made in England but other company’s also made there own versions of them. You can find them on e-bay sometimes .Great Video you are a really cool Lady.
Very cute home I love it I wish I had the money to restore all these old homes sad to see them end up like this
Great video, as expected from Tiki; nice to see left over's, but like here, Perfect video, basic structure of the house.. Thank you so much..
I love your accent, especially the way you say "House" xD And I visited some abandoned hillside farmhouses in Southern Spain. One of them was literally splitting in two, and another was filled with geckos and scorpions >:) I have now subscribed!
I love your videos! :) :)
Thing is if you can get the land cheap, bring in a dozer and in two hours you have a place to start anew. I am looking for the right place in the right area. But having said that it was a awesome tour. Good job!
I think maybe that metal tub on blocks was a temporary heating set up for someone squatting there. Not the best idea as far as safety goes, but probably quite necessary in the winter. Just a guess. Anyway, there is something about this place that really grabbed me--I could imagine it as it once was. Such a beautiful setting, too.
I love this kinda of stuff. Liked an subbed.
Love you videos
That metal thing with the bird's nest next to it is a chicken feeder. And I love the Fish Scale shingle siding on the house! As always, thank you for the video!
Tiki, love you and your videos!! Would you do a night time exploration of a secluded house? That would be cool.
That home looks really lovely, I'd love to live in a place like that myself. I've always been a country person, I guess. It's a shame that the house is so dilapidated. I'm no architect or anything, but I'd say it might be beyond repair. Lovely video :)
I really like your videos, greetings from Monterrey Mexico.
