Urbex: ABANDONED Squatter Farmhouse

Ойын-сауық

*This place has since been demolished, actually not long after I documented it.*
A developer purchased the land from the owners for a fair market value so they can knock down the house and rebuild.
This farmhouse appears to have been abandoned since 2009 according to the latest date I could find on a calendar while exploring. There is also strong evidence that a squatter was/is staying here.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for watching!

Based on the bread, I'd say you were pretty lucky there wasn't anyone in there when you went in! I love these old homes and love seeing someone that walks through without disturbing anything. Although I must admit I'd be very tempted to start cleaning it up. Always breaks my heart to see what vandals do.

Definitely a squatter in that house! You should be very careful when entering houses like this. I would be terrified !! I would never enter an abandoned house without another person, especially as a female. You are so brave!!! The basement was creepy as hell!!!!

Canada wasn't affected by the collapse in 2008. I'm not sure why they moved out but there has been a lot of new development on the outskirts of the cities here in Southern Ontario, so I suspect another developer bought these people out for the land. I see a lot of that here.

One of the loafs of bread isnt moldy, also it looks like theres a half eaten pear on the table that isnt very rotten. He was probably still living there but was somewhere else when you visited. You should carry a self defense weapon.

That loaf of bread seemed farily fresh, so perhaps the person still uses this home as a place to live. If he/she was comsuming the dog food to stave off hunger, that absolutely breaks my heart. I hope things change for them.

There was a squater in this house , they just weren't there or hiding. That is fresh bread. Love how you showed the basement wall and is a rare type of construction method. That exterior wall had feild stone wall above the foundation, then at 3-ish feet goes to brick. Thank you for showing this !!

always love these old farmhouses so peaceful, so historical, beautiful at one time, and trashed when the nutbars and woo woos get in.The basement was awesome, too bad it was a little dark, but that panel was an alarm system, so it had recently been updated, the crawlspace was great, when I worked at bell as a summer job back in 78 had to crawl through many of those.I see comments about creepy and hearing voices..the only thing I find scary about this is the colour scheme someone painted it lol. Great vid as always Pam. and have a great christmas and a very awesome new year.

Merry Christmas to you Pam, from the UK again! Yet another great video and for some reason this house made me particularly sad. It was once a lovely family home in a nice setting, something about it really hit a note with me. I wonder why it was abandoned, all those trophies etc. Love the way so many houses in Canada have basements and proper stairs into the attic (or loft as we call them). Basement was very creepy for some reason... well done again

That was a creepy basement for sure. It's hard to believe that you go down in all of those creepy old basements with such ease. I am so afraid of basements that the house we moved from not long ago was very old and the 20 or so years that we lived in that house I can count on my right hand how many times I actually ventured down there. My mind works overtime and would hear things and think that spiders would jump on me or rats/mice would nibble on my feet.

The only personal items are the teenager's while everyone else moved on. I just imagine a broken father returning to this and leaving cards in memory of what used to be.

Great video of that house. Looks like it was really something at one time. Surprised that so many of the light fixtures were still in place. Would love to have that shower stall. It was cool! The shelving in the kitchen was like the one in a house I had years ago. Kind of concerned about you, as when you were in that one bedroom upstairs with the mattress, covers, pillow etc., those things looked as though they had been used recently. That one loaf of bread looks fresh and to me, I thought I saw an orange on the table as well. I know you are careful, but sometimes wish you had a companion along just in case. Thanks for the tidbit on the spider and egg sack, I love it.

Just wondering, have you ever experienced any eerie or paranormal happenings inside any of the houses you explore?

Another great video. That house made me sad though. Someone's most bsentimental possessions scattered like trash. Sometimes when I am watching these videos I feel like I would like to get in there and tidy up a bit. I hope you carry on exploring because you make it really interesting. Incidentally the weather today, here in the north of England is very much the same as the weather in the video. Very dark and stormy. It's going to be a wet and windy Christmas. Happy Christmas and a great new to you.
