So at 0:06 the detent escapement is explained. The first highlighted pallet pushes the detent so that the vertical pallet fork disengages and unlocks the escape wheel. The second highlighted pallet is already moving and spaced so that right after the escape wheel is unlocked, the pallet fork is pushed forward by the escape wheel (powered by the mainspring). When the movement isn't running, is the balance wheel's point of rest at the unlocked position before the escape wheel delivers power to the detent (at about 0:13)? Obviously, it can't be at anytime after the escape wheel's locked position, as the balance wheel's momentum brings it back into the area of contact with the escape wheel. If the movement stops in the locked position, then the newly wound up mainspring will fail to deliver power to the escape wheel (the pallet that unlocks the escape wheel is on the detent). Unless there's a separate mechanism, I'd imagine that the lever escapement would have to be at a point of rest when the pallet fork is in the unlocked position where the pallet is in full contact with the escape wheel.

George Daniels mentioned this escapement in his book. I don't recall what he said about it. It's nice to see a video of it, because the drawings in the G.D. book were not easy to follow.
