I will note that if those tomatoes are indeterminant (like better boys, big boys, early girls etc) you will need much longer stakes for them. Awesome! How many basil plants did you transplant or sow, into one container or space?

Hi!!! Inside the file cabinet planters... I planted one on each end. I planted them along with lavender and rosemary and they are doing SO great. I have three of those planters so that 6 basil plants altogether. I actually bought the organic basil from the produce section (it's also cheaper buying it here than in the actual gardening section) In the built in planter boxes I have about 6-8 different varieties planted right next to one another. Lemon basil... Purple basil.... A couple varieties of dwarf basil to name a few .... I've also grown cinnamon basil that was so incredible!

We have 2 acres and live in a area that's dense with deer and rabbit.... Also opossums! We believe that it was raccoons that killed our chickens.... We are learning how to combat the pest and animals as we purpose to source our food closer to home!
