As a point he said "they can eat it or they can wear it" your sentence is snagging, his is based off a sloppy eat and you get a weird hookup. Weird thing to take issue with since it's just part of fishing. Same deal as fishing crank or jerk baits in open water. They come up to eat it, your not dredging.
