Thanks Dave what a walk down memory lane ,all these Trucks i grew up with some i got to drive once i was working .The 3070 Eagle i saw a brand new one delivered to a local grain carrier when i was living in Clare late 70,s it was a big deal indeed, very flash truck ,and the Ford show was impressive again i got to drive many of those models over the years,i remember they had a very uncomfortable seat .the old 1418 Benz were a well used grain truck back in the 70,s ,they had a very interesting nick name in the day but im pretty sure i cant say it here on utube not PC todat Lol,thanks mate for the walk down memorie lane . Cheers kym Adelaide

Haha I reckon I know the nickname you’re referring to Kym 😂 we will keep it above board and call them schnitzel burgers. I’m glad you enjoyed the video mate, it’s great that it can take you back to an earlier time and place. The eagles were a good looking truck. Thanks for watching and for the positivity mate 🙏🏻

Hi Dave, saw a couple beautiful trucks last week. I went to buy a few things and the man has a mid 80’s Kenworth that he makes his living with and he showed me , if I remember correctly, a pretty much original mid 70’s Kenworth he bought. It has aluminum frame rails, original drive train except for main trans. I think he said an 850 horse 1156 Cummins , never been out of truck. Quite good looking original paint except for faded to white on top and excellent original interior, I should have taken pictures.

G’day Geoff, thanks for the comment mate. The Kenworth sounds really interesting. I’d like to see that Cummins in there. What a weapon it would be.

The coolpower was the nickname given to the 6 cylinder Macks in the mid seventies with the air to air engines.

Love the old NSW PTC, SRA Railway crew cab in the rail track repair gangs rode in back in the 70’ - 80’s on the trailer of the old B Model. Which would of more than likely came off a Leyland Boxer ,Bedford KM Series or Dodge table top trucks.

I’m not sure what it came off Neil. I can find out though. The owner had only bought the cab that week and immediately put it to use
