Hey Josh, I don't know if you see this comment or not (Reply me back if you do) but I really want to thank you for teaching me how to work on Upwork. After watching your few videos on upwork I landed my first Upwork Job after 2 years of struggles. I'm a web developer and was struggling a lot and wasted all the connects every month. Then I have a thought of searching some things on youtube for upwork then I found your channel. After spending a week while watching your videos and understanding the concepts and how to on upwork, I sent 3 proposals on the very same day and got replies from 2 clients and got my first project from one of those client. @@stiazpianox9575 Hi, It's been 3-4 months when i was watching the videos. I'm not sure which videos were that but i can tell you some keywords that helped me. Try watching Josh's some more videos with keywords like Proposal, Cover Letter. Watch some more videos from the suggestions as well. Also, @JoshBurnsTech can you make a video on upwork's new terms and increase of connects to apply on a job? For someone like us who don't buy, it's more difficult now.

Josh explains so smoothly you will feel like watch more of his videos, so detail and straight to the point I even forgot to skip Ad Thank you Josh I will apply All what you teach us and comment my own testimonials soon.

i started my upwork on december 2023 i spent entire connects within 2 days without getting any response from clients. Then i decided to get subscription and switched on boost, availibility and started bidding. And then i got my first client (Also i learnt never use chat gpt for writing proposal 🤣) Now i am 275$ to top rated. Upwork is a game in 2024!!

@@aprilnzuve6471 Luck has absolutely nothing to do with it. That person you just described is an anomaly. The people who win are the ones that consistently put themselves in positions to be lucky. That means doing the same tasks every single day, improving, and going above and beyond. Simply think, "what is everyone else doing?" Then do the opposite. That means when people quit and say it's all about lucky, keep going and keep improving.
