Goosebumps all over my body. It’s not only Baba Fela the legend that will be happy wherever he is. My elder brother as well, a die hard fan of Baba 70. Great remembrance. How we listen to Fela music everyday then. God bless you all mehnnnn. ❤
Aaaawesome girl Power. Fela would be excited. Saw him back '78 over here in Berlin and was just flashed. Great music of all times indeed
The Trumpet lady can't be lovedless ❤❤❤❤❤❤ The keyboardist, The drummer, The guitarists consistency for me🤔
Omo. There's so much musical royalty in the video. I will pay anything to watch this band play. First time I am seeing Yetunde Kuti sing. Thought she only danced. The female Keyboardist killed it, so did every other player there. Fela is the Greatest! 🇳🇬 🇺🇸

Fela's struggle was never in vain. A great tribute to the man.

Yeah, it comes with the type of music also, this is something missing in our generation, most people want to learn riffs and scatter the music. This is how music was back in the day, everything is clearly communicated, clean, and understandable.
No wonder Seun dey brag. This is music abeg. The arrangements is top notch. Qudos to the ladies. Una head dey dia

Before hearing this beautiful tune, I was perplexed and overwhelmed by the harshness of life. Listening to it reenergizes me and restores my hope. I must say that African music is spiritual.
Just purely good Afro beat playing !!all players are creating a mesmerizing pulse that is truly beautifully played by all involved.. kudos To all singers and players in this wonderful work..

And one nobody with no rooted family want to mess with this legacy. Who God has blessed no man can curse. Kutis live on and they are not dieing soon
The true lovers of music are hunters and seekers of any conscious, spirutual, original-raw and enjoyable sounds they are not feed neither are they fan-atics.
This slightly sounds a little just a little like Roy Ayers coffee nice 👍🥁🥁 real music 🎵🎶🎶🎶👏
The Bassist did a great steady job repeating same line for 14min none stop is commendable quantization with drummer all the way... 8:00
I just found this video yesterday. I had to come watch it again today. A room full of beauty and talent. What an incredible performance. Upside Down is one of my favorite Fela songs, and THIS performance of the song is one of the best I have seen. Incredible energy and talent.
That was Seun's wife singing, these folks are the best on stage and off stage, down- to - earth folks.

My God! This is a complete music system that passes the message, gives joy, and happiness flowing . Everyone plays his / her role effortlessly. This can make even the dead jump up and dance. Thank you guys.
Just seeing these beautiful people from different races and backgrounds joining force with funmilayo gave me Ayo (joy). So beautiful 😍

Say it loud, wasn't political? Get out of here!! Big payback?! The countless times James Brown was called in to talk at rallies and protest?! Why you hating on James Brown?! Smh .. Fela Kuti was not killed for his music. Get your facts straight!

Agreed !! i used to say Fela is a hybrid ... he was somewhere between James Brown and Bob Marley
This reminds me of the great Fela Kuti. May he rest in eternal peace

Even “Afrobeat” is a merge of different genres and styles …understand that change is constant and don’t downplay the new sound just cause you’re stuck in what you feel like is real music….just as the new sounds are fresh and nothing that you hear normally now was the same way” afrobeat” was for people the first time they were introduced to the sound
Fela is a legend, like father like son Seun good job 👏

It's the life force/backbone of this creation, the bass & the drums(central core). It's as though it's from a machine, no mistep, no fall of speed. It just continues flowing like the ether.

You need to understand and love UPSIDE DOWN to replicate it. I'll give these young lads led by Seun Kuti a pass mark of 70% This piece is not an easy one. The role of the pianist and drummer on the original version were immense. I can imagine how tough it was for Seun to orchestrate this. All the same LOVE for the effort.❤❤❤❤❤❤.
My heart is melting right now ❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾
This song makes me emotional. In Africa, everything is upside down and disorganized. God will help us in Africa and we also need to help ourselves
