ive just noticed that the second degu has a stubby tail, and that means that something (or someone) did that to it. Like for example getting stuck in something with your tail and it slightly falling off. Degu almost never have stubby tails without accident. And they dont re-grow it. But that degu still has a good life :)

He is a very vocal unhappy fluffers like how dare you bring this camera into my domicile and irritate me father love the whole room set up bruv my dad had one of those HUGE tables and plexiglass shielding up as the shits kept eating there protective edge there all sadly passed away now but squeaker the oldest held in for so long

My degu named Pumpkin: almost 3 years old, has been moving its tail when I pick him up or when hes angry... Is this normal?

them moving their tail can also mean they are excited ! maybe he is happy when you pick him up or excited. idk tho. it can also mean that they are a bit nervous but also angry. so just watch the situation and what other signs he gives to you !

Only when they have nightmares, mine calm down if I stick my hand in their nest and give them a gentle bit of petting to relax them.

They don't necessarily squeak at night. Maybe if they wake up they might make some noise but from experience that only lasts a minute or doesn't happen at all. My degus sleep throughout the whole night

Your scaring the poor thing. You need to give them space, meaning you don’t put a camera and finger right into their face

Its instinct I think, they spend their lives watching the desert skies for predators. I had 2, then adopted one which died, adopted another, which is ok, but is so hyper it annoys the original 2

That's what happened to mine one of mine died so my mum and dad adopted two boys cause I thought the other one was a boy turns out she wasn't lol
