Firstly you were in a range of a margin with respect to the kind of paper this year upsc through to aspirants, anything in 90's(cutoff baba ki bhavisyavani anyway jokes apart should be around 95-105) is a good score keep preparing for mains.Look there is no MODEL methodology to prepare prelims instead of your RANGE OF INFORMATION with respect to career in civil services. This year prelims gave a wayforward that unless and untill we didn't have WIDE RANGE OF INFORMATION nothing can rescue us.Mostly toppers and mentors strategy were centered around three pillars revision current and elimination methodology(hardly one can use this year because options were so scientifically designed enough that if one can use they derive at wrong answer many questions were right which contain extreme word like only no etc.) but the loopholes of this method i.e. aspirants were limit oneself with limited kind of information but this year paper were not only demands same FACTS but more DEPTH or known THEME but unknown FACT but also one should REASONABLE enough to derive the correct answer.Secondly if you thoughtfully OBSERVE the recent trend of pre one thing you will be find that questions were framed with LINKING CONTEMPORARY EVENTS(two to three years current affairs) WITH STATIC PORTION OF THE SYLLABUS.You would be surprised enough to know that each and every questions of this year is somewhere in CONTEMPORARY domain of discussion whether it is ar, kabir, swadeshi movement,cas9 etc. So back to the million dollar question how one should sure about to crack prelims despite of unpredictability in the sense of evolving trend of prelims which earlier required some basic facts but now becoming more detailed orientated with wide range of awareness. Is there any model way to crack prelims in the era of information flood the answer is a big yes, yeah ! there is a model way to crack prelims. Prelims demand only two things Information and skill.Would you ever think that why some candidates crack back to back five prelims and someone isn't clear in his all attempts? Why were some aspirants score 120+ constantly despite of the paper difficulty? Simple reason i.e. prelims isn't test our knowledge but it is about our APTITUDE 🤔🤔(decision making, problem solving, stress management and emotional intelligence etc.) to whether we were the basic skill to derive at right solution with limited number of resources or whether we derive conclusion with limited facts or how we react to stressful situations.Let me explain it in detail mostly we were all in process of bucketing information here and there but didn't interanalyze that how this information were become a potential question or fact to connect the dots to reach at the right answer, the result of this we end up at a large amount of irrelevant information to dispose off.So instead of limiting oneself with certain sources try to expand your knowledge horrizon secondly try to work on your APTITUDE to merge with the nature of prelims. Then question arise how to hone our APTITUDE with respect to reach at the right answer irrespective of whether we know or didn't, here comes the role of test series instead of how much you were scoring, how many questions were come in real exam blah! blah! try to treat test papers as a SOURCE of information, firstly solve the paper for your existing knowledge then comes the ANALYSIS firsly recheck all the questions that went wrong.Identify which was that specific thought which make your answer wrong i.e what piece of knowledge/perception/thinking promted you to eliminate the right option and choose the wrong one.Now simply think how you should have thought to eliminate the wrong answer (which you marked),and choose the right answer(which you eliminated earlier). While you are doing this, you are actually fine tuning your mind to reach the right answer, from same piece of information. This not only makes you sharp but also enlightens you. Believe me apart from this you didn't have to do anything to clear prelims.Lastly if you OBSERVE at the emerging trend of the gamut of upsc prelims papers they are becoming more detailed orientated requiring WIDER AND DEEPER KNOWLEDGE OF THE SAME FACTS WITH MORE INTRICATE CROSS-LINKING OF CONCEPTS AND INFORMATION.The old GENERALIST now supposed to be SPECIALIST-GENERALIST.

@@decodecse796 well instead of explaining like ..ki use koi padhe na... Aap explain kr sakte the in very easy language...i.e. static + dynamic+ editorials..last 1.5year tak ka the hindu se kiya gaya CA.. HELP lena youtube se, kuch particular websites se.. Air jo bhi current affairs cover karen use thoda detail me padhe.. Like kuch hi din pahle ek core sectorsnegative results de rahe hain ispe newspaper me ek article tha but usme explain nhi tha ki actually core sectors hote kya hain.. So thoda sa research google se... That's it.. Itna enough hai selection ke liye.. If someone is devoting 8-10 hrs for the next. 1 ± 1/2year..
