If your age is now 18 or 19 and you're thinking about IAS preparation and you want your optional as math then you have to cover all the portions of maths optional untill you completed your graduation......then you can score good in maths and after age 21 you can preparation for IAS....😁😁

I had seen mathematics optional. I am graduate in mathematics . Modern algebra is one the weak tough for any aspirant.. else calculus is more easy. And other dynamic chapter which are conceptual base and easy. But some solutions are very lengthy and tough

Though I am not preparing for UPSC but I am preparing of West Bengal Civil Service. And here I am facing the same problem everyday. People are asking me why you have taken math as an optional and many of like this. How could I explain them that I have dedicatedly given 3years of my life to this subject. And today one of the best coaching institute of WB ( I don't wanna take name) said that paper of those subjects which are belongs science and technology is not checked properly. I just smiled.

And about my stream, I'm also a science student but that doesn't make me any superior to arts or commerce students. Only an indian can have this kind of mindset that they think a science student is superior to an arts student. But I don't blame ourselves for that, our upbringing and education system have made us think that way.

bro isse koi matlab nhi hota ki usne ab tak polity nhi dekhi bas yeh hona chahiye ki uss exam ke preparation mein woh subject achhe se aana chahiye aur phir exam ke baad chahe tum usse yaad rakho ya bhul jao koi fark nhi padta bas yeh hai ki hume uss subject ki knowledge sahi time par honi chahiye

Ordinary differential geometry bhi aur partial bhi .... Computation and programming bhi ... Since mere university (BHU ) me maths hons ka syllabus kaafi wide hai to jayadatar cheeze graduation me hi hai but mai aise bhi college janta hu jaha maths me Partial differential nahi padhate , complex analysis bhi Master's me rakhte hai ... So ek baar syllabus ko acchi trah analyze karna fir apne college ke syllabus se match karna...
