Been a ups driver for 30 years and i gotta say, I love my job. It's so challenging and gratifying at the same time... I could've retired 3 years ago, but I'm happy with what I do.

My brother in law has been with UPS for 36 years and my son 5 yrs. People need to stop bashing UPS and do there job, not every job is going to be easy. I've been at my son's job and seen him loading trucks and I got to admit it wouldn't be for me, but I thank God my son and brother in law has good jobs, stop complaining.

1:06 It’s funny that those kind of numbers are below average now for the majority of ups routes. The peak season numbers he mentions are normals now.

Man I'd never work as a delivery driver in a city like New York. Out here in Washington (for FedEx) I get about 80-100 stops a day on my current route with 100-140 packages.

If you have commercial or delivery driving experience they will hire you off the street. I was hired off the street for that very reason. It pissed a lot of the guys working at the hub (loaders) who have been waiting to get into a driving position for years. Sorry guys, not much I can do about it...

+Andrew Taylor No, I think that's the starting salary for part-timers. UPS is more than just drivers, they have package handlers (loaders, unloaders and sorters). I think with drivers, the starting salary is like $16.50.

After watching these UPS driver videos who act like their job is hard or more important than they actually are is hilarious. Try loading 75 XL packages like 85” TVs, couches and carry them up multiple flights of stairs in Philly, where the roads as wide as the truck, and all apartment complexes are like Fort Knox so you have to stand there holding the package for 5 minutes waiting for someone to open the door

My brother works feeder at UPS Grande Vista in Los Angeles. 10 years ago when my dad had dementia, my brother and his wife had my dad sign over all of his properties to themselves. My kids and I are about to become homeless because my brother and his wife took out a $350,000 loan on this house and never paid it back. My father bought this home in 1957 and this home was intended to be sold after his death and the funds distributed to my sister and brothers, and myself. New owner says that we have until June 6, 2019, to get out.
