High for bowing, low for pizz
that bass is ugly
the bridge isnt positioned correctly
So you don't have to buy a $2000 bass
Can you use a bow on it?

Yes, that is how it is usually played.

Yes. They’re built to be used with bows, that’s why the two middle strings protrude more than the two edge strings.

@@krampuszr8238 I wouldn’t say it’s how it’s “usually played”. Jazz relies on pizzicato almost entirely and classical, while using bow much more, still has pizz in it a fair amount

@@buffkangaroodog That's... what "usually" means. It's _generally_ played using the bow. Doesn't mean it's _always_ arco, but it _generally_ is. It's generally arco in all genres of classical _and_ concert band music. Of course, if you _only_ play jazz, "usually" will mean something else.
Rob you can't keep calling yourself a guitarist 😂 we all know you're so much more.
Sweeeeèeeettt
Its not really pretending once you know how to play it

@@TheUnderscore_nope, bass comes from viola da gamba and has been tuned in 4ths since ever

@@joaot8253 Double bass came after the cello, violin, etc. It is the descendant of the viola da gamba but the child of the cello. It started out with non-standard tuning typically an octave under the cello but changed to fourths on the E after that. That's why there's a 5-string version to compensate for that.
Idc what anyone says... i'm drawing the frets on the board
Next step. Learn how to actually just hold it.
