It's a real shame I can't find a cheap one (under 300 euros) because I'd LOVE to have one in my own studio to play on some jazzy songs I've written. Also, the fact that it has a fretless fingerboard makes it a perfect instrument to strengthen any musician's ear. The intonation of the notes is all down to the player's touch and I love this challenging aspect about it!

Put some scotch tape along the side of the neck/ fretboard where you can see it. Use a tuner and sharpie to mark where the notes are on the low E string. Lets you know places to start for the fingerings to keep things mostly in tune. The rest is your ear and knowing your fretboard for notes on the other strings. You can at least imagine where the frets/notes would be. :)
