✅ About this video:
When you think of amazing places to see in the United States, does the Upper Peninsula of Michigan come to mind? If not, you need to add it! In today's video we are exploring the north east of the U.P., more specifically Sault St Marie, MI. While in this area, we stayed at the Soo Locks campground, only minutes from downtown and the locks boat tours. Touring the locks is a must-do when in this area. To see 20+ million gallons of water fill this space and make the boat rise by over 20 feet in mere minutes is just crazy. In addition to the boat tour, you are only an hour from Whitefish Point, another must-see location. There we toured several buildings including the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. From there, we visited Tahquamenon Falls State Park and experienced both the upper and lower falls. Wow, we did a lot! This area is beautiful and offers so much to do, so let's get this one started!

Haha- thanks!! It took forever to get it! LOL
At LaCrosse Wisconsin there are boat trips on the Mississippi River that go past a railroad bridge that swings open to allow river traffic to pass then the boat goes through the locks at the Dresbach Dam.

That’s great. We will be very close to LaCrosse. Thanks for the suggestion!

@@1StrangeAdventure also, look for the world's largest six pack of beer.
Glad you are enjoying my home state. It is a right of passage to swim (or at least put your feet) in Lake Superior, there is nothing else like it.

We agree! The first time there, we dove into Lake Superior by one of the ship wrecks... 49 degree water. Once was enough! 🥶
I use to piggyback new trucks. I was in line on the USA side doing the rubber neck thing you do sitting in line, FOREVER. A Strom came in you could not see the bridge. Fun times.

Wow- that’s crazy. Not sure I would want to cross at that point. Lol
I love this view of the UP as opposed to all the touristy stuff on Mackinac Island. The Shipwreck Museum was pretty neat. 4 hours to see it all?! Wow! You’d definitely get a good cardio and leg workout working the lighthouse! I loved the water falls. I can see why it was so busy!

Grew up im MI. Glad you got to see some of the great places I grew up with. Had to hike the falls when there was no board walk. Check out Muskellounge State park

One day we will see them all! 😊
We want to go back after seeing this. Heck, we didn’t want to leave. 😂 The Iroquois lighthouse was closed for entrance when we were there, but there wasn’t any renovations going on yet. Now we see why it was closed.

We never found the glowing rocks!!! 2nd time there and still nothing.... Beginning to think we need to buy some! hahaha!
I live in MI and well the UP is just “up north” to us:) but yeah!! Still beautiful in its own little way!!! Just don’t get lost in the “weird” areas!!! You may never come back😂🤣😂

Haha, we will try to avoid those areas. Lol
From the Video I have to add, the lake wasn't made, the sands always been there because the lake formed out of the Glaciers receding.

Thanks for the additional info. It’s not uncommon for sand to be brought in on shorelines where we are from. Since the rest of the shoreline is mostly rocks, we were curious. Thanks!
Great video guys, the boat tour and the ship wreck museum are my favorites. I think Beckett and I could spend alot of time at the museum. Thanks for sharing.
