Incredible snowfall in California. For 3 years we have been stressed with drought and "global warming" due to arson of the forests. Now let's hope that this snow can best fill the water reserves. Long live California! Long live the Mendocino National Forest!

we had a ranch in Upper lake half way from Upper lake to the middle creek campground was 1200 acres and the Barn my mom painted yellow in the late 60s can still be seen It was called the Hunter ranch and there is Hunters point road . this video brings back old memories of riding our dirt bikes all OVER that country.

yellow barn is on Middle creek road about a mile past the bridge that cross's middle creek. and its on the left side going north directly across from the barn you will see our old ranch house its a single level CA rancher and just to the right of that there is a locked gate and that is the start of Hunters point road. My Dad subdivided the ranch into 20 to 40 acre homesites and the folks living up on the mountain have a electric gate right there were the road leaves middle creek and heads up to Hunters point.. the view from the top of Hunters point is pretty cool and you see most of clearlake to the south and Elk mtn to the north.

Northern Mendocino National Forest: it's where the picturesque, rugged but generally medium-elevation Northern Coast Range mountains start to rocket up to alpine elevations, ushering a north-bound coastal crest of whitewater rivers, alpine flora, fauna, and conditions: heavy winter snows, high ridges and jagged peaks well over a mile high in elevation; Red and White fir, alpine Douglas fir, Incense cedar, White, ponderosa, and lodgepole pine forests of the sort one finds in the Sierras and Cascades. This ain't the meandering Russian River, or vineyard-covered hills and easy-to-summit mountains of Napa Valley or the day-hike-friendly Mount Tamalpais no' mo'.

That’s my spot, I go there all the time I have a little secret area I go to there I know every inch of that route lots of bears right where you were pointing out the view come spring time that’s a beautiful place it’s my go to spot I can’t believe I’m watching this on video pretty cool. Your views straight across the valley is Snowmountain with its double peaks just about 7000 foot elevation, I’m heading up there tomorrow with my jeep off-road teardrop trailer and my dog great place to go it doesn’t get any better👍 it’s just kind of cool to see a place I go all the time on video. One of the biggest black bears I have ever seen and I see many of them lives pretty darn close to where you were cooking, I’m sure it was hibernating around that time!!!!

I’m definitely ready for a another trip all the way to hull mountain, Anthony peak and plaskett meadows lake then back down. But before that heading to check out bowman lake in a couple weeks !!!
