I prefered the 2014 and below model also, I bought one a couple of weeks ago in Arden Blue, 24k miles on the clock, FSH, completely stock for £7,500 with 6 months warranty. I honestly couldn't believe how lucky I was to find it in a really nice dealership. Would never pick the newer models over it, the design is much more aggressive like you stated in the video. Very happy with my purchase!

Mate I totally agree with everything you say about the styling on this new VXR but I still prefer your shape I had your shape in arden Blue was gutted when it went such a good car apart from the squeaky brakes it had! Love your Vlogs fella! always dropping likes for you even if I don't comment! keep up the good work! The new VXR does sound better tho my old VXR sounded like a normal car no sound! But the fiesta ST that me and the girlfriend have now sounds just as good as that new VXR! If you and your girlfriend are having a baby mate look at the focus st that's 5 doors with more power still looks the part aswell! If you can't afford that look at the focus st-line not to be sniffed at mate still looks good with 150 BHP I belive!

Astra vxr 2.0lt turbo , go test drive it , you'll love it

You may want to look at the Civic Type R, FK2 or FK8 if your aiming for FWD, otherwise something like the Golf R for AWD. That'll get you around the 300bhp mark.

Wonder what the special editions would look like ? Like the nurburgring ?

Test the golf r ..although if prefer the gti ..it's the ultimate hot hatch

I like the VXR but its smaller inside than other corsa models the same year. if I had no kids, I would have gone for a vxr cus space isn't an issue. I got a 2015 active 3 door and it's more spacious.

hi, the exhaust is original? because the europe version so the opel corsa e opc the sound is more quite.

Got a VXR/OPC Nürburg... its still outperfoming the new vxr, even with performance pack. The last VXR Nürs 2013/14 (Euro 6) got the Remus exhaust too. The difference is that the Corsa E VXR has only the cat on the turbo, no secondary cat under the car, thats why its louder. The engine is the same A/B16LES on Nür and A/B16LER on Corsa E/D VXR. E VXR has 207bhp, the old D VXR Nür 211bhp. The gear ratio on 5th and 6th gear is also lengthen, the new E VXR need approx. 8 seconds longer from 100kp/h to 220kp/h. The clutch in a VXR Nür is from a Insignia 1.6, so it can take quite a lot more raping than the standart VXR E/D clutch. If u dont own a VXR Nür and drive an old 100.000+ km VXR D, its an option to buy a new E VXR. With Stage 1 the old VXR will still destroy the new one. Most people prefer the new one cause its a litte more mature. Imho i dont like the new look. The only other option would be a Clio RS Trophy... Fiesta ST, Abarth 500 and Polo GTI (non WRC) are not that great, only if u want to tune your car and make it undrivable.

Porsche - There is no substitute 😅😅😅 Anyways, that's a beautiful car. The sad thing si we never got this updated version in South Africa. We only got he GSI and the Sport (with the same 1.4T engine from the GSI). I would have loved to get my hands on the rocket.

The steering is really light I think it's electric on the new vxr, I wouldn't really buy one imo a corsa is a corsa regardless, can't wait for ur upgrade

What about a Nurburgring edition? Same shape, same HP as the new one, same exhaust

And with launch button on its has about 252 bhp

is the old vxr faster/better than the newer 2015 onwards one also what are the newer model issues/common problems?

They’re is no difference in performance, corsa e vxr’s still have the same issues as the corsa d vxrs which is p4 and m32 gearbox both still chocolate

I also have a vxr, personally I wouldn't upgrade to a new version of the vxr, don't think those vxrs beat the old ones as they don't really look the part, however I did do my driving lessons in the new corsas and they're nice to drive

Much better than the previous model. Proper led runningl lights ,Dab radio. Revised suspension ,Just a nicer car inside and out.Did they sort out the 4 silinder issue most likely.

I've a question for you, I've tested the new one, 66 plate, but can only afford the older one, 12 plate I've seen, would I be disappointed or are they much and such the same?

Yeah its and upgrade, it's got a Remus exhaust on this car.

I have a Corsa E (not this version), the suspension is way too stiff, you feel every bump.

You just need a new stereo and exhaust on yours lol then it's the same car, get a test drive in the Astra vxr

I personally much prefer the new vxr so much so that my fiancé is getting one

Vernon Williams I agree, but with a facelift you can make it a lot more aggressive, although insurance is a killer, I’m 19 and paying around £650 / year on insurance for the corsa VXR, but was quoted around £1,300 for an Astra VXR

Kane Sielman I had a corsa d vxr for 3 years, changed it for an M135i which I kept for 18 months. I then chopped that in for an Abarth 595 comp and now a Golf r estate. I would d3finitely consider the corsa e vxr next because essentially, it’s fun to drive. It might not be the quickest in a world of hyper hatches but as a package, it’s great for the prices you can buy one for.

I would never give so much money for a Corsa, if i was in your position i would buy a 04,05 cupra r, 1 with below 80k remapped 280 bhp and for under 4k very good value, and more fun then a 2016 vxr. Golf r also over rated over priced :p my 5k 320 bhp pulsar gtir eats them for breakfast. GOLF r boys swallow that!

AEllis nah I know it's probably because I drive a VX line corsa e that I see all the differences, but other than the VXR no corsa e's have the bonnet strip Intake but a lot of people have wrapped that area

Really wouldn't buy another VXR at the end of the day it is still a Vauxhall corsa get a golf R or a Megane RS
