We ordered our sliders raw from RSG and instead of powder coating I used steel-it, a stainless steel spray paint that protects and allows you to weld through it.

What was your final cut dimensions on front and rear of plastic trim? Did you do same for driver and passenger sides? Also, do you have to install trim before the slider or is there enough room to install slider first and then trim?

Front was 4 inches. Rear was 2.5 inches. Same for both sides. I would install the trim before the slider. But there is room to trim on the vehicle as I did.

Sorry 2.25 on the rear.
Maybe there was too much oil on the metal that gets rubbed on so they dont rust while shipping It’s wasn’t the humidity or too thick Think about wiping down with some mineral spirits or acetone, wax and grease remover??

I used a grease remover but maybe I didn't do a good enough job
