Interesting stuff Sam. How much did that cost? Did you look at any other brands? I've seen people talk about those on Rennlist, Sierra Madre, other Porsche sites, etc but this is the first video I've seen of it's use. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works for you as well. Also, I'm eagerly anticipating the M2 video. I've been in the market for a new "daily driver" sports car (when I say "daily" I really mean 2-3 times a week.) I've been going through the pros/cons of a new M2 Comp vs the previous M2 vs the Cayman GTS. Those are the two (or three) cars to which I've narrowed it down. Great work as always. And loved the podcast with James! Keep up the good work mate! Cheers!

Glad you liked it. I haven't come across any other devices that do the same thing but the reviews I had from current owners were very strong. I've done a 10k Mile M2 review that's coming in the next few weeks so one to look out for. Currently trying to have a go in an M2 Comp so will be able to give some thoughts when i've driven it.

Device was about £850

I've put about 2k miles on mine after this upgrade and it is GREAT. My 2011 Boxster S with PASM. The DSC module made the car both more compliant and capable. Honestly this is how I had expected the car to handle from Porsche. Do not hesitate to buy this unit.

Have been thinking about the DSC Sport module so looking forward to your next video

Great video Sam, eager for the follow up waiting to order one for a 997.1TT seems like all great reviews however I like the stock ride over my older 996 looking for a better street ride.

Wow actually huge difference in the camera recordings side by side! Nice that people are still putting out so much relevant new content on 997's!! GT3 RS ... sick dude.

Your video convinced me to get a DSC V1 for my Boxster (987.2) two summer, makes it more comfortable when you're pootling about and when pushing on it makes the car handle better...

The good thing about it is that it will always work. You just need to adjust it to your liking. Chris at centre gravity might be of help if you go there to do his magic alignments. Just be sure to know what you want (like and dislikes). Try it on silverstone. On gt3 rs is somewhat awkward preset settings, just make sure to see what you want and you could even either talk to mr chen that has a big ass 997 gt3 thread on the forum or figure out yourself, the latter being the best solution. P.S. tractive dampers with an well adjusted dsc are just SUBLIME on 997s. It's unreal. Manthey kw competition are skate trucks compared.

Never did see a follow up video about this, I would love to know more of your thoughts after putting some more miles on it.

I've also read good things about the DSC but it seems hard to believe that DSC can do a better job with the active suspension controller than Porsche, at least on the newer cars. Sam are you going to be doing another update on the DSC soon? thanks

Where is your anti-sub belt? Is it just tucked under the seat? Wondering how people keep their harnesses from flopping around when street driving!

The front half of the seat is velcroed so you just lift it off and but it back down over the top of the belt (end sticks out at the front of the seat)

YES. 100% Rode 1 turbo with this and a gt2 with the tractive dsc. NIGHT AND DAY. The turbo (the one that i know better before and after) just became much more flat everywhere (almost 0 pitch on hard braking), and just soaks everything. And dampers were not fresh. Gt2 was just ballistic. In a shitty mountain road (filled with holes and tree roots) you could trail brake HARD, the car just stayed on trajectory. Plus, the gt2 rode so plush it doesn't even make sense.

So what’s the verdict?

I think they do a system for 991. Probably has to have PASM (do they all?).

Sam Moores yea I think all the S models come with PASM I’ll look into it.

They don't make same for Volvo 4C? it's very similar to PASM.

That's my street . South Kensington. So many 991 and 992's on the street no one bats an eyelid..Never seen your's though. Do you live there or is it just for the cobbled street? If you see a 991 GTS with number plate "PORSCHE" please say hi......

So Sam - how do you find the DSC Sport after more than 2 months ?

I was driving the car yesterday and tbh it's really difficult to call it. I'm pretty sure there is definitely an improvement but without back to backing it on track or down a bumpy back road I can't definitely say. Car feels great with it

No, the car needs the active dampers which the DSC controls. PASM can be retrospectively added, though if you're serious the TracTive dampers plus the DSC would bring a massive improvement.
