Upgrade your bass
How to install an active bass preamp. This is the Norstrand active bass pre-amp, this is the Nordstrand 2b-4 version which has treble, bass, volume and a blend control. It also has a push/pull pot to switch between active and passive.
I bought this for around £150 and chose the prewired option so it just drops in to your bass guitar. You need to remove the old electronics from your bass guitar, then you wire up the leads from the pickups and the ground from the bridge and shielding and you're good to go.
In my experience, 2 band preamps sound the best, this is especially notieable with Musicman Bass Guitars. I've heard a lot of good things about Aguilar in the forums and I have the Aguilar OBP-2 which is going in another project but decided to give Nordstrand a go.
