I was concerned about updating my PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 until I found this video on KZread. I followed the steps shown, and after about two hours of downloads and updates I am now running Windows 10 on my PC. Highly recommend this process!

@@soleil7588 When I bought my PC it stated that it was ready for the Windows 10 upgrade from the Windows 8 which was installed. My PC came with 4 Gb Ram and it did the upgrade with no problem. My internet speed runs at 100 Mbps and the download was normal. Most of the time for the process was in the Installation of Windows 10. I waited patiently during the installation which seemed to be stopped for a long time, but eventually completed with no problem.

additional point to share that I encounter during my window 8 to 10 upgrade. You must right click and run as administrator when running media tool creation, if not the media tool creation will still run but half way it will auto close.

It didn't work for me. When I clicked accept for installation it took 4 hrs to install and after the reboot when it opened it comes an error and tells 'sorry we couldn't download windows 10' so plz help 😢😢😢😢😢

It shows me just there was a problem starting setup. Close the tool and reset the pc.. Any solution

Do we need Run as administrator option to start a download process. or you can simply open media creation tool by selecting Open option and start the process.

When I upgraded Is it all data is save ? Local drive D or E ? Either atfirst backup all data from another Hardisk ?

I watched this video and installed. It took about 6 hours to download the data. Now, I did not see the prompt to go to the final step of installation. In fact, after 100% download was over, everything disappeared. Now where to find the downloaded file and how to install that? Please help!

Hats off for such a helpful vlog on the upgradation of the window from 8.1 to window 10. Not only did I like it but I loved it.

I know this works but not on my win8.1 After everything is done there is no install button it just says restart your pc and it will continue but soesnt . Pls give a solution.(its compatible)

I've followed these steps and it's finished installing, but when I enter the taskbar/star menu it's always loading and can't be clicked, I've followed the solution tutorial on KZread, it's still the same... can this problem be solved?

My “Working on Updates” 2:17 and so is taking + 18 hours by now and is yet at 11%. I’m upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 too. Anyone else with the same problem? Edit: After 22h the loading remained around 14%, but int the last 3 hours it rushed and finished the whole upgrade with around 25 hours. Nevertheless, unfortunately I'll downgrade back to 8.1, because 10 is bugged in my notebook (dunno if cause it's an old machine or if the drivers are out of date), but I'm losing my mind with the bugs and stutters/freezes.

last time I followed an instruction like this , I am pretty sure it failed so do not worry u will not be the only one after I try this again I might the second one to fail

When I reach the part where it starts installing windows 10 and tells me that my pc will restart a couple times it gets stuck at 81% and doesn’t go up, I’ve left it for an hour or two but it was still stuck at 81%. Anyone having the same problem and fixed it? Any tips?

@Frostler No you need that amount for internet, but as in terms of storage, you will need around 16gb of free space for 32 bit. For 64 bit you need around 20gb of storage

The same was going on i was happy a sudden it showed window 10 cursor frozed my pc got hanged I switched on it just showed nothing and my screen was frezed and now I an scared what will happen please don't try this very worst.

Just tried this in April 2022. Still works! Many thanks for putting this video out. Initially, it kept stopping at 73% or 81% and saying it had failed. I then created a DVD using the Windows Create Media Tool. Still didn't work installing it from the DVD. I read down the comments and followed the workaround posted which suggested extracting the contents of the DVD, etc. Extracting didn't come up as an option so I copied the contents instead to a folder on my hard drive, ran the setup exe file from there, then followed the workaround instructions. Worked perfectly although all the updates took FOREVERRRRRRR. Thank you so much to whoever originally posted that. I now have a fully working Windows 10 laptop! Happy days....

It is a 6 hours process it requires 6+ GB data Patience is the key. You will not lose any data if you choose your perfect requirement options. The network must be on throughout the process. Thank you for the video it was really helpful.🙏

go to device manager and and scan every driver to make sure they're up to date

Right-click on 'This PC'>Properties and see the model, now go on to your browser and search for that model, go to the official site and install all the drivers

a question, will my google account still be automatically logged in when i do this update? ive lost the login and i really need to be sure i wont get logged out.

The language or edition of the version of windows currently installed in my pc isn't supported by this tool. Please help me out !!
