Great video! Thanks for creating it! I was able to get my T700 working with LineageOS, with the original firmware the keyboard andso was constantly crashing so setting it up was not possible anymore. Also it was slow. Now with your help it works great again! Hint for people which T700 stays stuck at "Checking for updates"; reboot the device and then it just take 1-2 minutes to check for updates.

As you said, it was expensive when purchased so ... Downloaded your files, followed your instructions and worked fine. Thanks!

Recently I have now come up needing it and was unhappy to discover I could not use many modern apps on the unit because of the version of android it had installed on it. Samsung halted updates at 6.01 I believe. There's a working Android 11 version now, based on Lineage OS 18.1, least for the 10.5 lte version. It seems to be working great thus far - and a lot better than the Android 10 version another person released, which for me was no great success. Thanks for the video, and help with installing it! There's life in this tablet yet :)

I couldn't find a way to contact you via your channel, but I have a Galaxy Tab SM-T700 and I wasn't able to download the Lineage OS using the link provided and I just wanted to know if there was still a way to root this particular model using TWRP Lineage. I already have TWRP installed on device (I found this device while cleaning a friend's garage and he let me have it lol) and it was rooted and I ruined it by wiping the data and now it will not function when rebooting. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help on the situation!

is this a 64-bit version rom?? My stock SM-T700 is still stock on android v6 but none of 64-bit apps will run on it.

Okay so I followed this video it worked i was using my tablet sm t700 every thing was working great I got to install a few apps over time all the apps worked fine but one did not work so just uninstalled it tablet still worked fine then I tried to install Facebook messenger it froze and never booted back up stops on the lineage logo boot loading prose's. It never stops booting up anyone have any ideas on how to get this tablet back up and running again?

today UPDATE 28/04/23 After starting the lineage setup, the tab stayed at "Checking for updates" screen FOREVER. I read somewhere that you can bypass this by going back and selecting "no wifi connection" at the bottom of the list of available networks. This allowed the setup to complete and the tab found my wifi network anyway. I assume that "Checking for updates" is something to do with the phone network, and since I don't use the SIMM at all, it won't affect my usage. It may be a different story if you want to use your tab as a phone as well, so you could try the lineage setup with and without a simm inserted.. Can't help more.. UPDATE - finally found the correct files for my model and eventually managed to installed lineage 14.1 and Gapps 7.1. Took many, MANY attempts to get the reboot into twrp, my finger problem, and now after starting the lineage setup it is just sitting there saying "Checking for updates...". Ideas..? cheers ------------------------------------------- hi there, which twrp file should I use for the tablet, it is a SM-T805 tabs S 10" on android 6.0.1 model with wifi and simm, but I don't use the simm at all. Did you do the upgrade to android 10 on T700??

everything worked with the guide had a bit of an issue, with the tablet going into sleep mode in the TWRP, you need to mention or highlight that in beginning of the video not the end.

Now it supports Android 10!

Copy the files to the tablet's internal storage via the PC. Then at the "install" step on the tablet itself, select to access files from the internal storage instead of the sd card slot. Everything else is identical.

Excellent video, I will definitely try this out. Have you tried running apps like Netflix and Prime Video after the update? Can you confirm if they work. Thank you for the great video.

Answering my own question. There is a Lineage version 17.1 (Android 10) out now on XDA! I download it and followed your instructions on this video and it worked great. Thanks for posting this!
