Hi mate, my laptop has only one type-c connector, if I plug the ac adapter to this monitor would it be able to power my laptop connected with a type-c cable?

Hi, I don't have a standard Windows laptop, but I just tried it out on my MacBook and it works normally with only Type C connection without additional power supply cable connected.

Do you know of any good mount (VESA 75 x 75mm / M4) for the these portable 4k monitors? Jax/Jarvis? The only thing I know I'd like: Hydraulic/gas (although I've heard they sag over time?) Quick Release of the Vesa Plate Grommet or Wall Mount (I don't have room for a side desk c-clamp style ) I was thinking the $30 WALI Single Monitor Wall Mount (GSWM001), but no quick release. Any recommendations?

Apart the ones from UPerfect, I haven't had the chance to work with any other stands. Maybe from Arctic, but those were wall mounts.

How is Uperfect compared to Lepow portable monitors? i cannot get to decide which to buy between the two

Unfortunately didn't have the chance to review Lepow portable monitors. Sorry about that. EDIT: I quickly checked Lepow and what I can say, they only have 1080p monitors without much of a choice. I would definitely go with UPerfect. No doubt.

Can it be power solely by my laptop ? Or I will always need to plug into wall socket ?

Yeah, you can power it on with USB C connection. I tested it on my MacBook.

Thank you for the review, how are the black levels and contrast?

Thank you for the comment. If you plug it on a MAC, you will have to adjust the colors and everything. While connected on a PC it acts a bit differently in a better way. The black levels including the contrast is great. I don't know why, but most likely because MAC has more vivid colors on it's screen than regular laptop or monitor.

@@PCCrazyDario Thank you so much for the reply and details. I read in its specs sheet that it’s rated at 1500:1 contrast ratio, which from my experience (another IPS rated at 1200:1) is extremely noticeable as inferior black level (IPS = no local dimming almost always so in dark scenes or any images with blacks it appears grey-dark grey with very noticeable backlight compared to OLED for example). Did you check how it performs with such dark images/scenes or had the opportunity to compare it with an OLED side-by-side? I couldn’t find any side-by-side comparison vs OLED for this particular monitor on YT and it’s an expensive monitor so this detail is basically what’s holding me from buying one or skipping it.

@@VeryAli You are welcome. Unfortunately I don't have an OLED screen to compare side by side. On 2:55 you can see the black colors and how they look on a regular wallpaper. They are a bit faded out to be honest, but as you can see, all three monitors are IPS and the black colors are the same way. The middle monitor is XG270QG. Maybe that helps a bit.

@@PCCrazyDario no worries and than you 😊 , that definitely helped to have an idea about the black levels/contrast of this UPerfect model. I just bought an LC Power 15.6 4K “OLED” portable monitor with a rated 100000:1 contrast ratio (Samsung OLED panel) but it still pales in side-by-side comparison with an LG OLED TV and even when compared to a Macbook Pro 16 M1 Pro MiniLED screen with regards to black levels and contrast. I am returning it. There is simply no portable monitor in the market that can do perfect black levels or really high/infinite contrast ratios like those LG TVs, Apple MiniLEDs and some of the stationary OLED monitors can do.

Leather case getting "stuck" with magnets to the screen on both sides. As for the mouse, that is Logitech MX Master 3S.

@@HappyHopping11 Well, for me, I never had an issue with Logitech in general so I don’t have a clue about their customer support. As for the monitor, it has a VESA mount so you could grab a table stand and mount it to it so you get it “standing” normally. Otherwise, the leather cover doesn’t support that. Always at a certain angle

@@HappyHopping11 To be honest, I was checking out other portable displays when I was reviewing UPerfect and I have to be honest. In others I was disapointed becuase they didn't have higher resolution above 1080p. And of course, couldn't find such smaller displays. Only found UPerfect 13". Wish I could help more. Sorry

Seen this on ebay and wanted to know if it was worth it. I needed a 4k travel monitor to game on without breaking the bank. Great review.

What is the price on eBay? This one is currecntly €220 on their website so I doubt it is cheaper. As for everything else, this is perfect for what you intend to use it. And of course, finally, thank you for the comment and glad you like the review. :)

Flip the screen if you have some sort of a stand or a mount and adjust everything in Windows.

Can you play Fortnite that is at 1080x1920 would it ruin the image since it’s 4K or would it just auto adjust to the ratio of the screen?

@@theprodicalson2496 Let's say downsizing or upsizing the resolution isn't always good. The picture could definitely get ruined. Now I am not 100% sure which will be more impacted, downsizing from a higher resolution or upsizing from a lower one.

@@theprodicalson2496 It might be easier "downsizing" since 2160p has more pixels. So, 2160p monitor outputting 1080p will work ok-ish, but you should enable integer scaling in NVIDIA Control Panel. With those specific resolutions, you have one pixel of the signal map to exactly four pixels on the monitor.

Does it work with just an HDMI cable connected to a PC?

@@HarleyLungs Nothing confusing. Two possible power deliveries since it doesn’t have battery. So one is Type C to a PC, it works and it is powered on. Ifusing HDMI, you have to power it on somehow, right… 😀 So connect Type C to a wall socket if you don’t have a Type C on your PC or console

I didn't see him asking about power. I thought he was asking if the display worked straight from PC to display using HDMI. Yes, a power source would be needed then. Does display loss occur with using HDMI? I'm looking for a the best color accurate monitor I can afford for photography purposes. I'm almost undone by all the options and exclusions and differences of all the different monitors, portable or otherwise, or even tv screens that I've looked at. Maybe 90 so far. @@HarleyLungs He asked “does it work with JUST an HDMI connected…” and my answer to him was on point, it doesn’t. You need power. But didn’t mean anything bad. Just answering the question. Haven’t had any issues with HDMI connection. I was actually testing this monitor for more than 6 hours in various games (I needed a 4k monitor for benchmarks). Not a single issue. Of course man, not a problem.

How is it powered? Is it battery powered?

Unfortunately, no. You have to connect it with Type-C cable to the adapter that goes into your wall socket. It’s a smaller one so it is easy to carry around.

@@hez1711 Just connect it via USB C cable. I did that with my MacBook and my PCs and it works.

Well I got the Uperfect 16inch monitor and I am not happy at all. Here are my issues. It does not support 2.1 hdmi which is important if you use it for X Box Series. Without that you will only get 1440 or 120hz you cannot have both without the 2.1 port. It does not support Dolby 10 HDR vision and what HDR it does have it very bad it looks like you took an ink pen and fluorescent paint and put them on the screen together.. The speaker are useless unless you are in a room without any sound and you are within 5- 6 feet away. I did contact their customer support and got an email stating that they understand that this model does not have HDMI 2.1 so X Box series X users cannot use it as advertised. They offered to take 20% off and refund me the difference and once the newer model is available at Amazon in 6 mos I can try it out for free. I sent a email stating that o cannot wait 6 mos and if they cannot send me the one that does what I want it to do I will just send this one back. They can either direct ship the new one to me, send me a upgraded model that does have the 2.1 HDMI or I will return it and buy another brand that had what I am looking now.

pro tip don't use mac colours will be fine as apple saturate colours for that extra 1000 bucks be smart don't buy apple
