Thats what I was thinking. There isn't too high of a chance of someone actually surviving a bullet to the head and the mc would probably know if his friend went to the hospital or smt and that can also explain why he turns into a balloon. The mc turning into some kind of jester or clown could just represent who the guilt has made him to be when he goes to jail.

It might also have to do with things like Miles's mug having a clown on it or JJames flower and polka dot tie, although im not sure if that actually has anything to do with their past or if it's just convenient symbology sprinkled throughout the video to fit the theme ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Tbh I just like clowns and want a clown vigilante that makes jokes out of corrupt people a thing lol

I find it interesting that the Clown has rounded corners and the man has pointed ones, which line up with the fact that the man is the only one who hurt anyone and the clown was rather merciful in comparison (points and triangles are usually associated with danger and rounded designs are seen as friendly)

I can't be the only one obsessed and visting this routinely and also hungry for the lore! Like I just gotta know the actual story! What is exactly the jesters dirty deals? What is the relationship between them ? Give me them juicy deets! I'm so hooked, what incredible world building insuch a short form wow !

James was probably a spy or an assassin. Since on the piece of paper that James' friend was holding in the flashback, it was visible crossed out, as if there was a photo of the person he killed. A friend found his papers and saw that he was either a spy or an assassin. James had to kill him, or they would have killed him. And the clown is a symbol of his guilt, well, or he just went crazy. but this is unlikely. I'm more surprised that James didn't resist. The clown dressed him up and threw him in jail. But James didn't even say a word to him, apparently he was aware of his guilt. I still think James was a spy and he needed to do it. 1:18 this is probably the moment when he confesses to the world that he killed him. There's a lattice of eyes, it means everyone is looking at him. There is a loud trial at the end of which he finds himself behind bars. And in the end, the balloon bursts, as his guilt bursts and disappears.

I love how he has bandaids over the bullet wound.

I really like how for James you used pointy and straight lineart, and for Miles you used more round curvy lineart. It really helps their design stand out even more from eachother and just another part that makes this fun to watch! 🤡

So happy updog has been getting so popular lately! I found them a few years ago from their song hurt, haven't really listened to any of their other stuff but everytime I see a meme with one of their songs I'm like "that updog??? Did anyone notice the design choices? (S)Miles design is round and curvy, even his shoes,hair and eyes. While JJames is pointy and sorta like triangles. JJames costume is mostly white while (S)Miles is mostly read. Heck even their noses are different. The animator did so great with the designs and I love how they made them different but alike at the same time. Good job! Edit: And I just noticed that their heads are different too!? This is getting better and better.

Like it’s realistic since normally people wouldnt have the same nose, head, hair etc. But a lot of artists do it since it takes less time and it’s way easier.

You are completely right the characters do have a different shape

How I see this: The white haired dude betrayed his companion in their business plan, and he probably became corrupt and made a scheme out of everything, excluding the friend. The friend finds the files, and confronts the protagonist; because of the corruption and greed, the white haired dude shoots his colleague. As the years go by, he starts seeing him and feels guilt and judgement. The illusions of his seeing his old friend lead to the white-haired dude turning himself in.

Kudos to this person! the art, the characters, everything about this is perfect.

I feel so bad for the clown.... poor guy didn’t deserve that. Tbh he was more generous with the boss’s punishment than I thought he would be.

I would love to see more of this story line! The characters colour palette fit so well to the theme making it pleasing to the eye and the characters themselves are just brilliant. The plot is very interesting to look into and the animation is smooth and well made. I loved the video, keep up the good work!

To be honest my look on it is that what if the rich man possibly was a hitman? We saw X's on the "documents" of the papers his friend held, and he looked distressed about it. Maybe that's how he got rich in the first place. For the clown part I believe that his soul craved vengeance to make the rich man feel like a fool killing him from knowing his secret, and possibly connected to his childhood past. Who knows. 🤷‍♂️

This was the second video from this channel that I saw, a few years ago. To this day, it's one of my favorite animation videos, apart from Sir Fluff's "Sleep Walk meme", this is the best animation 💞💞

Don’t get me wrong, I am not scared of clowns in the slightest, but if I saw that dude on my ceiling, I would shit my pants
