But an educated person with a specialist skill of 30 yrs and above lets say upto 45, can still be recruited or can still serve in the army. You're looking for skills not physical abilities. It's only the infantry that needs unskilled physically fit personel and below 30, Cos infantry the training is very intense and rigourous , one needs a young and fit body .Even herself speaking , i doubt whether she can endure any serious military drill at the moment ofcourse she aint required to do so,cos she has a skill which the army needs. I have seen amputees with skills serving in the British defence forces. Ofcourse they don't go to war or frontline, normally they serve in communications, legal dept name it, Ofcourse they didn't join as amputees. The army is a very big institution don't reduce it to mere physicals or else you're missing out on vital skills and talent. On scars you're very right, Ugandans are crafty people. One can turn against the army and claim he or she got the injury from the army trainings and seek compasation of large sums of money.

How about just joining civil service, so on war no medics needed?

@@wabalyajoel2961 Yes, it's good option, but we all know civil service has fewer jobs than the army and takes long to recruit new staff. Army recruits large numbers of people to replace the old, the injured or where need is required unlike in civil service where majority are pensionable and their retirement age is after 40 to 45 yrs of service.

Now the training u undergo, that scar can escalate, a would and the rest can be a disappointment in family
