question about this layout compared to the early kickstarter layouts.. im guessing it isnt possible to press 2 or 3 mouse buttons at the same time on a single mouse? outside of remapping keyboard buttons

Actually, you can. You can press up to 6 keys at once on a single device. Using the software you can also program modifiers to any key, to get a sequence of modifier key presses all with one key press.

I think I read your question wrong. You are referring to actual Left Click, Right Click, and Middle Click buttons. Yes, that would be difficult to press them all at the same time on one hand, at least with their default location. You can program mouse clicks to any key or button though to accommodate that.
