As an OG DanTDM fan, this was really touching to know that people haven’t forgotten the old Dan, and that we still can look back on his older mod review videos. Your recreation of the lab was amazing, and I think Dan himself would also be very impressed… maybe he’d start mod reviews again if he had that map.

I like your new version of skyblock, but also, i think it undermines the pholosophy of skyblock. the point is that it is the least amount of space possible with the least amount of resources. By making the island larger and giving more resources like iron ore, it undermines the challenge of working your way up

we NEED a part 2 with Stampy’s house. Popularmmo’s arena, and another nostalgic build of your choice 🙏🙏🙏 alternate idea: you transform Stampy’s entire Lovely World in a series, if you’re up for it (that would be a lengthy process…)

I love how you didn't change the shape of the builds as well as made sure the Redstone that was in the builds still worked. A lot of transformations I've seen don't do this and over exaggerate things. Amazing work!! 🥰

Man seeing that lab and the terrain around hit back to my even younger days.

These were really great builds but I personally feel that making the skyblock island a generic cone shape was a mistake as it removes a lot of the charm the original build had. If you had instead kept the L shape of the island but made it look more organic I think it would’ve worked better as a reimagined version than just something that took inspiration.

Imagine how long it would take to Transform Stampy’s Lovely World 💀

As someone who didn't really watch or grow up with Dan's stuff, I have to disagree. Honestly the idea of a 'holy grail' for Minecraft builds is very, VERY subjective. For me, the holy grail would be Yogscast stuff (i.e. the Yogcave from the survival series, whether it be before or after anything to do with the Israphel storyline, basically ANY of the builds for Shadow of Israphel, the Jaffa Factory or the Baked Bean Fort, though those last two are dependent on the Tekkit and Galacticraft modpack/mods respectively).

I feel like the New Lab was very under-utilized as well which is why it dosent have as much nostalgic value

didnt watch the video yet but tbh i feel like a pretty important part of dantdms lab was that it had no proper ceiling except for the entrance, it was very open for easier movement and for testing mods better

You gotta do all the yogacast stuff, that is the OG iconic builds

9:17 if you make yourself invisible with a command, there is the option to hide the particles. (Just add „true“ after the effect level and duration)

I'm kinda curious what you'll do with the different versions of Jerry's tree. Then there’s yog labs or even the different cities and towns from shadow of israphel.

You did an excellent job on the lab, I’m sure Daniel would be proud. I look forward to your future projects, the only one I can think of suggesting would be Jen’s iconic house

This is soo amazing omg, I love how you improve the builds while also keeping the original kinda "of them" I need a part 2 so bad lol

I specifically came to this video just for the lab updated build, and I gotta say, it’s pretty good. Even tho it looks kinda completely different in some ways, like the floor inside or the obvious outward appearance, it still felt like the lab to me. So yeah, good job on recreating one of the iconic builds I still remember from when I was watching Dan’s channel as a little kid.

I like how you don't just "upgrade" it, you pay attention to the detail of when the build was built and implemented those details into the builds. I dont know why this does not have more views!

I think its really cool that your transforming all these iconic worlds from our childhood with the newest blocks. Keep up the great work and keep making great builds.

I love this, these feel like very faithful updates rather than 20 billion block mega scale projects. Really nice to see

realistic doesn't always = better, but at the same time, we can appreciate those who take the time to do stuff like this

Really really impressive. I know you probably don’t take suggestions, but for the future, another nostalgic Minecraft build you could possibly update is Think’s Lab from Thinknoodles’ old iconic Minecraft Mod Showcase series with the same name.

I honestly think this looks so much better and has much more personality than the other replacement lab Dan moved to later in his videos. It just felt too cluttered and Blan in my opinion. This redone version of the original lab still keeps the parts that made it so charming while also updating it with modern flare :3

@@ThaMango1I believe there is a fan recreation of the world as it appears in Stampy’s videos but I’m not sure if it was made on X-Box or not. If it was, I don’t know if there’s a way to convert it into a world Java can recognise and not mess up upon loading into it.

I got a wave of memories when I saw the thumbnail, I grew up with the lab, but I forget the villagers name and the skeleton dogs name, (even after you said it) when I saw his new lab vid, I was sad, but the end of an era, is always the start of a new one.

For builds part 2 I'd want to change Poppularmmo's collosium

How about Ssundee's base in TrollCraft? The original series, with Kehaan, Sparklez, and Crainer

Absolutely need the Love garden in there, a lucky block reference, and a few herobrine summoners

If you'd be inclined, I think it would be awesome for you to do this more, and maybe even try to mimick some modded series? My top picks for a redesign would be Stampys House (Unless you wanted to punish yourself be doing the whole lovely world) Iballisticsquids Sky Island Popularmmos arena Squids Original Pixelmon house Any of the three main bases in The Race To the Moon modded series.

This would make a good video as to what happened to the original lab

3:45 i find it funny how the shadowplay mod can't speed up the refresh timer on animated textures so blocks like campfires, fire, or maybe even nether portal blocks just randomly stop until the refresh timer catches up

you should transform real life buildings but put a twist on them like a gothic eiffel tower or like modern great pyramids

Start with a smooth canopy and randomly add leaves for a more 'leafy' look. Finally, subtly, on the bottom edges, try to make the leaves 'dangle' a bit.

Your lab remake looks similair to the official 2.0 lab but in the shape of the og lab🔥
