Yall say it was a weird video, but I love these behind the scenes vids that show how much love and care you two put into the business you built.

Your customers will appreciate that you update and keep the zoo in good repair. It's really a turn off to go somewhere that animals are housed and find that things that have been in disrepair for some time haven't been taken care of. A place that looks kept up indicates to me that the animals are also in good health- anyone who watches your videos will know what an excellent job you do! Looking good!

I would love a video of snakes, lizards and amphibians doing their thing and Ed doing the voices of the creatures going about their lives (like when he gives them voice saying 'don't poke meh'). That would be amazing. 🐍

I REMEMBER WHEN YOU GUYS MOVED REX OUT FROM THE POOL! I went back and rewatched a turtle video from a couple years ago and I was like OMG CHLOE'S SO TINY! Congrats and thank you for all your hard work!
Ed explaining things is awesome. We always say this, Ed, but your fans appreciate how much you've come to embrace the spotlight. it's so nice to see your passion and enthusiasm. You remind me of my brother, who is definitely into the making and revising part of computer and electronics systems. (You two even look somewhat alike!)
I have rats as pets, and I think it's really nice how much you care about ventilation for them even though they're being bred as food! Even though they may live a short life before taking their place in the circle of life, i'm glad they dont have to suffer through respiratory infections!
I, too, love a good Japanese maple leaf. 😂 Happy one year!!! I can’t wait to come to the zoo one day. Hopefully this year! 🤞🏻 Edit: I would love it if y’all made a more adult second channel lol. Your grown up jokes kill me every time. “Glorious” hole. 🤣🤣

Since I haven't been able to come see the Zoo in person, videos like these are very interesting for me as they give me a little more indepth look at the goings-on and some behind the scenes access as well. Baby Spice is a gorgeous reticulated python and she's definitely figured out how to best use it. Hopefully one day I'll be able to come visit in person and enjoy seeing the animals up close. Thank you Ed, Emily and Editor for filming and editing this video for us! 🤘🏻❤️🔥

This video has me remembering the early days when ed hated being on camera. You guys compliment each other so well I am a long time fan I love your channel so much. Hope to see your place in person some day
Not weird at all. It is always interesting to see the maintenance side of zoos. Thanks for bringing us along.
I actually like these BTS videos, it shows how hard you guys work and what responsible owners you are! Love seeing all those huge gorgeous enclosures for all the rescue babies ❤❤❤
LOL The leeks in the ceiling!! 🤣 Never ceases to amaze me at how much maintenance it takes to keep a business (and zoo!) running smoothly. Glad to see you and the critters are all still doing well! Edit: spelling.
I was actually re-watching some videos from when you opened the zoo... It still feels insane that it's been open for a full year!
Good job! You work so hard on your zoo, you also work so hard for your animals.
I’ve always wanted to be a Vet and the Snake Discovery Channel has only fostered more and more love of animals and has helped me to learn more about them! Thank you so much!
It might be a "weird video" but I love that we're still getting zoo updates cuz watching your journey with creating the facility has always been so fun and fascinating to see. Plus zoo maintenance shenanigans are always great 😂
You 2 are one of the few examples of life partners and work partners that work. Your journey with before the zoo, building the zoo and whatever happens in the future is and will be inspirational ❤
something for the animal funds box! y’all are the reason i own snakes today💗🐍🐍
Love these update and building work videos. It's wonderful to see all the great work you all do outside of just seeing the animals. The variations of the videos is fun to watch (and rewatch), thank you for letting us into your world.
I really love how far the facility has come and I'm excited to see what the future may bring.
Data point of one: I really enjoy these VLOG style videos, especially the ones involving the zoo. It's kind of like a "behind the scenes" and makes me appreciate all the work you guys put into creating an amazing place to see reptiles.
It was fun to see what is needed to keep the zoo running smoothly.
Happy first zoo anniversary!!🐍🐍💖🐍🐍 first of many, many more😊. You both are awesome!!😻
Love your marriage, the amount of strain these builds cause but you guys always know when to joke around ❤
watching this video felt so nostalgic for me. you guys are the ones who made me love reptiles several years ago and i watched every single building update for the zoo :’))
One year already?! It's just amazing what you guys achieved so far and we are all so proud of you!!! Thank you for all the fun and educational videos you upload, I'm sending you big hugs and regards form Buenos Aires!!! Pd: And i can't believe I'm just 18 minutes late 😂✨❤️😻
It is crazy that I've been watching snake discovery 🐍 for over a year
I'm so proud of you both. Its great to see people my age living out their dream. Does the heart good
Just wanna say hi from Germany, been watching for many years. I have absolutely loved watching your journey, keep chasing your dreams guys!! 🐍🐸🐢🐊🦎
Those desks are not "atrocious" they're well used and well loved! A desk that is NEVER used, is spotless
I laughed way too hard about the 'leeks' in the ceiling 😂 good one. Always up for a bad pun or two 😆
It always impresses me how you guys do all of the work. Yes, it makes a great vlog, but you work so hard and deserve all of your success.
Happy one year! Y'all have helped me not be as scared of snakes.🎉
Ed: Don't mind my messy desk right now." Me: sitting on bed in room watching you guys, taking a break from cleaning😅. Any who, its hard to believe its been a year already since the zoo opened. I hope there are many more years to come😊
Emily: “WE CAN PLAY MUSIC TO THE RATS!!” Ed: “this girl is crazy .”

You guys should be so proud of yourselves! I started watching Snake Discovery sometime in late 2018. I think the first video I saw was Emily in the field explaining why you shouldn't release goldfish in the wild. I'd watch because Emily reminded me of Steve Erwin with her knowledge and enthusiasm. It's been so cool to see you all expand. You guys are so cool! Thank you!
Oh wooooow ONE YEAR ALREADY?! 😮 really enjoyed the video ♡
I personally love zoo/facility update videos. Coming to visit from California would be a major undertaking, so these make me feel like I'm there all the time. Which I would be if I lived closer.

The love you guys put into the zoo and the animals is why you deserve so much success. I never would have developed so much love for reptiles without you two. Thank you, truly.
Good to see her using her new ledge! Nothing's more disappointing than getting a new something for your scale baby and it STILL prefers to just sit in the corner.
A year? Wow I thought the zoo had been around for two years already. Time really flies. I love what you guys have done! You help so many animals and educate so many people! You’re one of the reasons I fell in love with reptiles. I really enjoy watching your egg hatching and rehabilitating animals videos.

It's been a little over a year and a half since the zoo portion itself opened, but yeah it's been two years since the retail area had its soft opening
I am one those weird people that enjoys the Behind the Scenes more than the movie/series. So, this is my cup of tea.
Awe. I'm really glad Baby Spice is loving that new ledge.
Never apologize for weird videos. We love them!!!! Also Emily please don’t make replacing ceiling tiles look so easy. It’s soo freaking hard and frustrating! Lol 😂
I just love how many of the zoo animals are rescues
I always found the upkeep and maintenance super interesting! Thanks for sharing a deeper look into maintaining the zoo!
Running a business is tough. Love, love that you update the reptile enclosers for the betterment of the reptile. Better water bowls, ledge for Small Spice-she does love it, fan for rodent room. Yes, these videos show people to always work with your reptiles, to provide them with their best & healthiest life.
I can’t believe you guys do all the handy work!👍🏼Great job!😊
I really like this! The building series may be complete, but I find the maintenance aspect interesting as well!
Baby spice is soooo beautiful I love her pattern It looks like she’s covered in hearts
Thanks for all the wonderful videos, and the amazing care you give your creatures! It always amazes me to see these gigantic enclosures! I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. You guys rock!
I've been watching Snake Discovery for many years. I recently showed the channel to my family. We all enjoy the content and how excited y'all get over "the little things."
I am constantly amazed by how you two are just so competent at so many different things, AND how energetic and determined you are!
I remember when 4 years ago it was just snakes in your house!! I’ve been watching forever and am so happy that your zoo is so beautiful! I’ve wanted to go forever but sadly don’t live close enough to drive!!
Wow it has been a year! I hope one day to make it up there to see the Zoo in person.
I really love seeing the behind the scenes videos and the improvements you make over time.
Thank you Snake Discovery for all you do in the videos and also for your animals! 😊😊
I like these videos. It shows how well you upkeep your place and how much you care for your establishment. Great job as always! I like the maintenance videos just as much as the rescue videos, keep them coming.
We just got back to Kentucky from tinley!!! It was awesome. My daughter's name is Violet, and she has religiously watched your videos for about 5 years now. She is 10 years old and loves you so much. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for you being so kind to her. She was star-struck and super nervous to meet you to such a point that she could barely talk. You made tinley an unforgettable experience with just a few words. We ended up buying a pastel mystic ball python, and it's beyond beautiful. That makes 4 reptiles she owns and takes very, very good care of each of them. I truley can't say thank you enough. There are so many people in this world that wouldn't care or would dismiss her, but you did not. I was so worried she might get her feeling hurt just because some people just dont care. She is a heavy talker but the moment she saw you she got awkwardly nervous and it was so cut. My daughter and son are my entire world, and I'm so happy she got the chance to meet you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!! You are a kind, educated, loving, and all-around great person in real life. I couldn't be prouder that my sweet little girl looks up to a person like you. Keep doing exactly what you have been. You're affecting the world in more ways than you'll ever know, and with luck, she'll turn become as kind-hearted as you are. She will never forget that moment.
I like the concept of the update videos, it's neat to see what changes. I think I was actually at the facility dropping off a carpet python when this video went live, haha.
great video, want more zoo stuff
I can't believe how hard the leeks gag got me, great video!
:0 happy 1 year! Y'all are my inspiration for my love and research in snakes! I love you both!
love the sense of dad humor
I have loved the facility updates! I am so so happy we get another one!
As amazing as I find your channel for information and how far the whole facility has come I doubt I’ll ever get the chance to visit as I’m in the uk. However, during this video I have realised I need an Ed! Loves animals ✅ is handy ✅ and loves ‘nerdy’ stuff 😂 Emily, do you think you could spare him? 😂
5:20 Ratsies :D You should show the chaos potatoes off more often. We don't see them nearly enough.
Happy Zoo-versary! It’s always a delight to see you two in handy mode, rolling up your sleeves to get stuff done. You never fail to impress with your can-do attitudes!
Really enjoyed seeing exactly how and what it takes to do behind the scenes!
Always love watching these videos👍
So crazy that it's already been a year!
For future ledge projects you might want to look into the bags of foam for setting posts. It should make your life so much easier! Just pop the divider and give it a good shake! Cut the bag and pour! It’s basically the same stuff in the can just without the waste.
Fantastic video - great to see some of the changes / upgrades after you have been in for the year.
I really love seeing these behind the scenes maintenance videos -- it isn't glamorous but it's so cool to see the care you guys put into the zoo.
It’s funny how time flies because I’ve be following you channel for so long we when you guys made the zoo that felt like yesterday now it’s one year plus
I’ve learned a bunch of things from these videos, and actually I used those techniques for my parents’ house! Thank you Ed and Emily!! Btw, I looove Justin so much! He’s such a good boy, and he’s so handsome💙
This kinda insight in the videos is brilliant, shows people it’s not all roses and fairy tails and that the road never ends!
I thoroughly enjoy the building updates and maintenance stuff. Love you guys!
You guys have come so far in a year congratulations
I love seeing EVERYTHING grow! The zoo, animals, EVERYTHING!
Love this video! It was a good change of pace and reminded me of the zoo build ❤
I've been watching you guys for so long, it is so nice to see your zoo thriving.
One year❤🎉 amazing guys keep up the good work
One of my favorite videos. You already have so many educational videos but as a fellow business owner it’s nice to really get to see someone else put care into what they love.
