Wow! I always wanted to do that Rod! Walk across the bridge and take pics of that water front community! It always fascinated me but I never did it nor ever got closer than passing over the bridge in a taxi. Thumbs up!

Should make many of us count our blessing after seeing the devastated fire damage. .Had major Injury,,left hip replacement,,not typical..Fun fact I went back to climbing scaffolding in the Nuclear Industry after healing..That titanium is far stronger that the bone if replaced as long as you keep the Muscles tuned up.

Did not know that fire had gotten that squatter area. Thats a shame all those peeps were displaced. It appeared the traffic wasn't too bad on that bridge. What time of day was it? Didn't know you had broken your shoulder as have only been subscribed since December, hope you continue to get better. Wow, that seems like a lot of damage to your bike, that is sad to hear. Definitely it is a good idea to have crash bars on any motorcycle you have in the Philippines. Thanks for the video, Rod...Jim

I think it was about 3 PM Jim. Rush hour often starts about that time but not bad yet.

I am similar to your friend, and like to spend time in The Philippines, Thailand as well as my home country. I recently decided to get a retirement Visa for Thailand. An agent completed the whole process for around $1,000 USD (subsequent years will be around $500 USD). This enables me to come and go from Thailand without restrictions, as long as I update the visa (though an agent) each year. It’s a very easy process, and worth looking into.

Interesting Kriss. The Doc told me best case 80-90%. Might have to see if I can get a new shoulder in the USA if it doesn't get much better. I will continue to rehab until then.

Hi Rod! Great video as always. In answer to your question about travel plans, I will be arriving in Manila on 10 July and plan to be in Cebu for 3 - 4 days right after that. Been away way too long! Love your videos as it makes it feel a little less far away. Take good care, and hope you continue mending up. Sadly, it isn't a few days like with a shaving cut for something like you have.

So you have earned your COB SOA patch for your vest. Crippled Old Biker and Sons Of Arthritis . Look for motorcycle swap meets to find some parts. A local shop may know of a swap meet for parts

I know how you fell about parts. I'm having some issues with getting parts for the Harley. It takes forever even though I know the items are stock in the US. You know I had JRC do my SRRV thanks to your interviews but I tell you I'm a bit disappointed with there response about real estate I contacted them about looking for a condo sent them what I was looking for but 6mos later no response. Ohh well guess I'll just have to find something on my own. Will you get another bike 🏍

Thanks John. Many have told me Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki are the best for parts availability here. I will probably just rent a bike when I need one for the time being anyway.

So will that affect how quicky you will need to apply for a ACR card, and will that also accelerate the time you must leave the Philippines for 1 day to come back to start the process all over again? Because about 15 months I plan to move there to stay, and do you think this will affect xpats wanting to retire there or will they change their minds and go back to the six months or is it just a way to bolster revenue from the xpat community?

I have 2021 honda CRF 300l rally and thought about shipping to. Cebu registering it there. With no intention of selling. Could purchase one there but I have Luggage and different seat and crash bars added. The Philippine import fees and so many hoops then then they refuse it. They have so many if,and but in this case regulations.

So the kid is poor and broke so he is let off the hook? I wish the U.S. was like that because I’m poor and broke. I bet dollar to a doughnut that I would be placed on a monthly payment plan and then if I missed a payment I’ll wind up in the court system.

His mirror fell off and I did see it off to my left. I think he saw me when he was moving over but lost control as his little bike should not have taken me down...in my opinion.
