I wish I could make music this good but always fail short at even trying to create a song or a bass sound let alone remake one. I either get bored (or tired) and leave the project as is, can't figure our notes without a spectogram or make chord progressions which aren't glorified powerchords or melodies which aren't rehashed ideas... I hate it. I'm impressed that you can even made a remake let alone make it accurate.

I feel your struggle, I really do... I'm also a kind of person who can't sit straight and concentrate even for an hour, making it really hard to finish my projects. One thing I'm doing to keep myself going is to make multiple songs in parallel, so I can have places to go when I get bored with one particular project. Psychologically speaking It's not so effective since you're still struggling to figure out what to do with your own song lol, but much MUCH better than stuck in one single song and just quit and leave. Oh, and, maybe we can't develop a perfect pitch as grown-ups, but can still have a fairly decent relative pitch if you keep training your ear. I spent a lot of hours remaking my favorite songs and that's how I got my idea and some senses of pitch. Trust me, It's worth your time. I don't play any musical instruments aside from some percussion, so my relative pitch is everything I have! lmao sorry if my eng is weird in some spot, I'm non-native and still not so confident about my writing. Hope this helps you a bit. Oh, and don't throw away your presets or idea when get bored! Keep everything for the future self :D cheers!

Wow. Time sure flies, huh... I didn't make much of progress after this, and I even switched a DAW completely (from Cubase to Ableton) but I absolutely loved doing something like this so maybe I'll do the whole song from the scratch :P

At the beginning it seems that the synth is pitch down a little bit, is that normal ? BTW , DOPE i fucking love your music (and i know this is a remake, dont say it to me in comments lol)
