I am happy that some of you have already decoded the root of his grief. All that is going on is out of malice and jealousy. There is no need to force his investment into his “own” hometown. Colonialism and slavery have both distanced themselves away from Africans (somewhat)…it is OUR OWN PEOPLE that have become OUR Enemies in our communities and Country at large. Why wait after 5 years of investment to launch such an attack on his investment? Very malicious.

Our forefathers used "taboos" to explain scientific facts. So perhaps goats in the past were a nuisance in the community; messing up with cassava and other farms, so they would ban them in the area. And the only explanation would be to use the gods (taboo) to explain it away. In 2023 however, modern farming as this guy is doing has taken away that "goat nuisance" and has "caged" them in pens to avoid public nuisance and destruction. Our present day chiefs(thieves) still live in the past and would not give in to "change"(growth) in their communities. How stupid can we be as a people!

I think the present day chiefs just want some bribes. Maybe Fred did not "settle" them before starting the goat farm. Nobody truly believes in such taboos anymore but they use the taboo as a way of controlling the community to make money for the chiefs since they can not ask for bribes directly.

As a member of the community and an employer, I believe you deserved fair treatment and a reasonable grace period of at least six months to prepare and relocate your livestock. While this situation is incredibly difficult, I have faith that you will bounce back stronger than ever. Don't let this setback weigh you down. Keep advocating for an extension of the grace period. I am with you in spirit, supporting you through this tough time. Stay strong and best wishes.

My humble opinion is that, if they insist on u vacating, why not sell the goats and stock the farm with sheep's whiles u find a new location to raise the goats again. In this way, ur structure and facilities over there can be maintained and be beneficial as well. Entrepreneurs don't give up, they create opportunities out of difficulties.....u will succeed sir

I feel so sad about this unfortunate development. May the good Lord protect and guide you in this trying times. The investment is huge and shouldn't be allowed to go waste. Mr. Fred why not consider sheep farming since the infrastructure can be put to use almost immediately. Sell the goats and buy quality sheep breeds like Dorper, Laduom breeds of sheep, etc. It's clear you have passion for goats but the current circumstances necessitate a rethinking. This advice can only be feasible if the community leaders (Chief & elders) are not deliberately destroying your investments under the guise of a taboo. I'm sad as a Ghanaian, you are an inspiration to many of us. May the good Lord grant you wisdom to make the right decision. Long live Semanhyia Farms.

Please Fred take heart on this situation and do thorough investigation, what type of livestock were allowed in the community then you can change the phase of the business and maintain all the structures and your land but just get rid of the goats as the law of the land or Mother Queen says, I know I wasn’t easy things to do but in this occasion you have to play your card to the last bit Firstly get rid of all goats as quick as possible either transfer them to somewhere or sell it all. Secondly, start another livestock ( chicken, Pigs, Sheep, Turkey or Fish) depend on what is allow Thirdly, if you ‘’Legally’’ owns the land you can sell it little by little with the structure on it and later leave the community for better life somewhere else and never go back there anymore They (the community)and there gods are wicked soul and if possible take all your family away from there. This is given me a lots of concern as well, in my location I have massively invested alots mean alots of millions God have mercy I’m scared with all this elders and the law of the and the taboos

Am sorry to hear this. I know it’s hard to accept the reality, I know I can’t measure how exactly you are feeling right now but JUST LEAVE! LEAVE! If it takes to sell the goats and leaving the investments you did in their land, it’s going to be ok and I promise! The success is in you not in that particular land. Just don’t give up, Go start another one somewhere, it might be better than that! I wish you good luck but life can be this challenging! Put your head up and don’t think much about the loss, just keep going. Success is yours🤩

Fred I would recomend you rent or lease some land, make your money by multiply the goats in a big way, then buy your land, aim to be the Hamiisi Semanda of Ghana, the most precious thing you have is the knowledge, and remember who God blessed no man can curse.

There was a time in certain African communities where the birth of twins was taboo with untold consequences. We must reject such backward thinking and fight to defeat it, come what may. Do not move your goats and let the government get involved. Your victory in this matter is important for this continent. I'm writing from Zambia where such things csn, and do happen because of jealousy under some stupid guises.

Hi Fred. Please, make sure that you have a good valuation of your investments on that farm. Including the value of all your livestock and sit tight. If they send thugs to kill your animals, you can sue the government for reddress. Please, seek legal advice in the short time you have.

This is just unbelievable!! My question though is how is that for a project that has been in place for 5years + how was it that the first time that the chiefs and elders of the community saw this place was after this eviction order was out in place? And he said himself, the lesson is to involve these chiefs and elders and bring them along in whatever project we embark on. We may not like it but the fact remains that they are still the custodians of the land. That is not to say that Fred is at fault or anything, NOOO. I believe this is the point where the government will have to step in.

I think the present day chiefs just want some bribes. Maybe Fred did not "settle" them before starting the goat farm. Nobody truly believes in such taboos anymore but they use the taboo as a way of controlling the community to make money for the chiefs since they can not ask for bribes directly.
