Omg... I thought the bag was ugly too the 1st time it came out! Now I have THREE! Tiffany blue, canary yellow, dusty rose. Very practical and wearable. I have many Chanel bags, but this style I reach most often.

This bag is so beautiful I think your right it has grown on me as well because of social media, however the easy use gives this bag a super plus on my end I love the way it opens up all the way.

Yes, social media has its way of changing our minds! I probably would have ignored this bag altogether if it wasn’t for this influence. But, it is a very user friendly bag, that’s for sure. I probably wouldn’t get the larger sizes just because of how slouchy they would get.

I'm so happy you're loving it! I completely agree, it's a fairly low stress and functional option. I love carrying mine by the top handle. This one was meant to be yours!

I loved this bag since it came out.. It was on my wish list for a while and I finally got mine Flap19 in chocolate brown. I couldn't decided on a color but when I sow it the chocolate color I fall in love immediately. I was also lucky to get it before the price increase. It's my everyday favorite bag.

Great review. I remember when the 19 first came out, I couldn’t figure out the hype about it, and couldn’t even see it in stores. However, just Iike you, it grew on me and now I love the soft, casual nature of the bag. I’m not sure how long it’ll remain popular, but I enjoy the two I own.

I bought a chanel 19 in a light color also, light beige, when it first came out in goatskin. And like you, I then wanted a dark color one. So I did end up recently getting the dark grey from 21B. For some reason I don't gravitate towards the black 19. I think the 21B dark grey is such a nice color and good alternative to black.

Oh yes, I saw the dark grey. Very nice! It's a lot less harsh looking with the hardware.

I also had my doubts when it first came out in 2019, I purchased mine in November 2020 and it has been the bag I use the most among my chanel bags, I would definately buy another one if I see the right one in the boutique.

Thanks for this video! I just purchased the Chanel 19 small in beige and I absolutely love it! But it’s my first Chanel bag and I’m having major doubts since I’m worried about color transfer, and scratching the leather! Should I return and just wait for it in black or get the black medium classic flap??

I'm glad it was helpful! As a first bag, I would choose something that you feel you'll get the most wear out of. I'm talking, usually during the day, running errands, and taking it out for the night. There is no point in buying a bag that you are afraid to use or will seldom use. I love whites and other light colours, but yes, colour transfer is a concern. I don't have any because I mostly wear light bags in the spring summer with my light coloured outfits. However, if I'll be wearing darker clothing and coats where my bag will rub against them, I'll definitely have colour transfer. And so in the rain, fall, winter I gravitate towards my darker bags (aka black). I feel you'll get a lot of wear out of the 19 versus the classic flap. And if you are planning on using it a lot across different seasons, perhaps getting the black would be a better idea. But that's assuming you'll never buy another Chanel lol.

Very informative video, I'm still on the fence about this bag for the same initial reasons you had before your purchase. Thank you.

Firstly, CONGRATS on your growing family! After less than 10x use, my white 19 got small black crackle-like spots in the back side of the top fold 😣 did your leather keep ok?? An SA at yorkdale says it’s just a nature of light color softer leather!! So frustrating!!

Thanks so much! I’m sorry to hear your bag has that issue. It sounds to me that it could be the chain handle oxidizing and leaving black marks. I heard that has been happening with some of the newer bags. I don’t think it’s the leather itself. I don’t have any marks on mine.

You said my same words, same thing happened to me, I like more how comfy the bag feels while wearing it than the look of the bag:/. I sold my black goatskin, but I am waiting for a nice color to repurchase. Interesting to see you use base shaper and the Zoomoni organizer:). Love the white color in your bag Jasleen;)

Glad you feel the same way! I would love to own a black goatskin one for the fall winter with this rainy and snowy Toronto weather. I hear they are reintroducing the 21P caramel colour in the 19 bags for the next collection. The neon pink from spring 2021 was epic!

@@therealshakeen the neon pink is sooo you yes!!! And yes they are coming with the brown again for next season. Although there is a slight chance that it might be a tiny different from 21P. Some of the pics I have they are a little different but it could be the first released ones that are never that good though 😉

I have this bag as well in red interior. But I def will use it in fall & winter I love white in the winter time 🤍✨

Hi, I bought this last year so it's from an entirely different collection. For this bag, I like the base shaper to create a solid firm base for the bag so it doesn't sag. I then like to also add in the organizer to support the softer walls of the bag to prevent it from caving in.

How is the hardware? Are there some marks or residue from the hardware? Like oxidizing

Hi Chau, the hardware is great, I don't notice anything. The finish is aged so some places look like it's worn but it's intentionally like that.

But does jeans transfer colors onto this white Chanel 19 bag?

Most likely yes. Unless they are a light wash. I don’t wear jeans with light bags.

Hi Love your Chanel collection. Im conflicted between this one and trendy cc small. Which one do you recommend? I own classic M/L , jumbo, rectangular mini and wallet on chain. I prefer structured bags so I was leaning toward trendy cc small … but after watching this video I’m in love with this one

Hmm, that's a tough choice. I enjoy both. I also prefer structured bags myself, but have been enjoying the ease and comfort of the 19 as a change from using my structured pieces. It's a great casual day bag and if you choose the smallest size, it can be taken on a night out. The 19 will certainly hold more and be comfortable to throw things in as opposed to the trendy.

What did you decide in? Same dilemma or a white small classic flap I have black classic flap in m/l and jumbo beige

This bag is super nice. Would you be able to pls tell me how much it weights on it’s on as well as with the base shaper and organizer? Can goat skin be worn in the rain? I heard the lamb skin would get ruined. Thank you in advance for your reply 💕

Oh that's a great idea, I'll include that in another video! But I think it should be fine in the rain, as long as you're not soaking it in a downpour. Always wipe down the bag as soon as you can. I mean, I spilled coffee all over my lambskin classic flap (eek) and wiped it right away without any marks. Looks brand new.

I am so conflicted about this bag, even after buying one. :)
