I love the elastic waist band hack! So easy as quick!

Great upcycling. I used to add elastic to my Yakka work pants to make them sit sit and help keep the up! Changing the shirt into a ruffled blouse was inspired. Not my style any more but a great use of existing fabric. It would be fun to cut something down for kids too.

Loved it.. you’re so clever! How do you come up with this stuff? AMAZING! The shirt is so adorable.. I would like a couple of darts in the back to bring it in a bit.. but that’s me lol. The sleeves are just the bee’s knees. Wow, such a quick and easy fix for the jeans!! Thanks for sharing. 😍

Great transformations. So cute, so you, and such great inspiration. Feels like I could accomplish a lot of this even as a confident beginner sewist. My favorite part is using elastic to bring in a slightly oversized waist on a pair of jeans or trousers. What a great solution to such a common challenge. I can't wait to try it.

Outfit looks lovely and really wearable. Impressed that your clothes are wash and wearable vs some contemporaries that are visually appealing but would not survive a washing machine. Please continue being so inspirational. Thank you.

Bodkins are a fantastic tool for feeding elastic through holes. Personally I think they work a lot better than safety pins.

Genius! I may try that elastication trick on some ready to wear trousers in my wardrobe which I don't wear as they are a tad too loose around the waist... I am intrigued to try refashioning large men's shirts as they are abundant in the charity shops and sometimesthe cokours and patterns are really nice. I am not sure about retaining the collars, though, I personally would prefer cutting them off and making a round neck with a facing. That could work, I think?

I was watching you thrift shopping video yesterday and I thought when will you put your thrift flip of that shirt and pant at momment you put this video and I was surprised to see this video love this thrift flip...... 🤩and it inspired me to thrift flip some items of clothing that was in my stash❤️

A great transformation of your thrift finds. This is just a thought, to soften the collar, perhaps l would put a ruffle around the collar in lieu of a pointed collar. This ruffle will correspond well with the other changes that you have made to the transformation of the shirt.

You did that very nicely... wow as I always say you are my inspiration ❤

Just found this 🤩 What great ideas 👍👍 You look great in your new outfit 😃😃🇬🇧

The flips turned out spectacular! I definitely want to have a go at making the top, it's just so adorable!! For the pants, as tip to anyone that has little ones or if your weight fluctuates (me lol), they make elastics with button holes sewn into them; you can do exactly as in this vid, but instead of sewing the elastic on both sides, you can sew in buttons instead and loop the elastic into the waistband (might also want to clean up the holes the elastic feeds into). You now have some adjustable bottoms!

All your flips are so clever and easy to follow! I love watching them. Maybe you could think about the way you describe the original shirt - it's not oversized or massive, just not your size. It's a bit insensitive to people who wear that size.

The blouse was just genius! Good for you! Have you thought of getting yourself a bodkin? Look into it. You do so much with elastic that it might be worth a purchase. They aren’t very pricey and are very handy. They come in different sizes as well. I’m going to put the elastic in the waistband trick to use ASAP!
