Hi Karen, the Spa looked amazing I went to one for my 70th birthday and really enjoyed it, is the Spa in actual Seaham? I have family nearby and love the area (my Dad was born in that area) I absolutely love it there if I could move I would. Lovely to hear your daughter is enjoying and doing well in her job. Seaham Hall is a lovely spa. I'm sure there is a gym there too. I like to go to the gym and then use the Spa.

Hi Karen. I am originally from Sunderland but moved to the Oxford area when I got married in 1979. I can remember my dad having lung cancer in 1965 and being a patient in Seaham Hall Hospital, as it was then. I can remember going there every Sunday to visit him and being allowed in sometimes but not others when I would wait outside for my mum with my brother. When I do return to Sunderland for a visit I will definitely be booking a day at the spa. Your day sounded really lovely, and extra special to be with your daughter. 😊

Thank you for a great and honest review of the spa day.I have been to Seaham Hall Spa a good few years ago and it was lovely especially sat in the outside jacuzzi in the middle of October ,so beautiful.The food was beautiful too.I will need to save up to go back again.We have one quite near us in Nirthumberland called Doxford Hall but I've only been in the hotel and not the Spa part ,I need to save up .I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday present with your daughter.xx.

Hi Sian - I’ve heard of Doxford Hall but never been. I think there used to be a spa in Morpeth called Longhirst - it was small and had no pool but was lovely. Thx for watching xx

I have been to a couple of spas with my daughters but none of them sound as luxurious as the one you went to. The spa at Bath is very nice as they have a rooftop pool. We went a few years ago to celebrate my eldest daughter’s 30th birthday in July. Bath was a central place to meet as we were travelling from our homes in Portsmouth, Cardiff and London, but we were very impressed.

Hi Jane - a rooftop pool sounds lovely. I visited Bath years ago but not the spa. A tour of spas around the country would be good though! 😃 x
