I'm new to Reiki and learning always. I found your channel and walk with the Triune but I was drawn quite naturally to Crystals that are of Mother Earth which is a creation of God just like we are. I'm just a simple human and the energy flowing through me has always been something that I'm aware of but never looked into it or really knew how to. I believe that we are all a creation of God and God creates and created everything.... Crystals, Crucifix, Cross are tools to help us. Crystals coexist right next to my Crosses, Crucifixes and in my worship to help me and to keep me close to God. I don't know much about Reiki but never really paid much attention to the saying "All You Need Is Love". I have found that meaning the older I have gotten. It's easier and more positive to you and those around you to seek out Love than to hang onto anger, negativity and hatred. I sincerely send you Love and Positivity. Great explanation! Having been raised Catholic , but always open to other beliefs, I always disliked the separation of organized religion. Having just received my Reiki II certificate on the holiest of weeks of my faith, I feel more connected to Jesus, the ultimate hands on healer! God, the universe, the Great light works through each of us to heal ourselves and eachother!!

Usui was not a Tendai Buddhist..! ....this is MIKKYO and the majority of Japanese are terrified of this form of Buddhism..... Reiki is from a Christiantianity ritul Ordination ceremony developed by Takata's description of Usui as the 3rd President of the Doshisha University........Rev..Tokio Yokoi sensei was determined to create a form of 'Japanese Christianity' that reflected the Japanese and not the western form of Christianity, through the ritual ceremony or Ordination and a Baptism of Fire as on the Day of Pentecost....by using Japanese words..... 🙏🙌 Elizabeth M Latham

Thank you for your comments and thoughts. Mikkyo is esoteric Buddhism, and it is found throughout many forms of "traditional" Buddhism in Japan, including Tendai and Pure Land. For instance, Mt. Kurama and the Sonten sect, which is the focal point of the mountain, would fall under such esoteric practices, as would the practice of Shugendo, the practice of the Kaihogyo, and so on. As you are noting, I would be curious to see the evidence of Reiki's Christian roots, and would be happy to read more on this. To my knowledge, none of my teachers, Reiki historians, or members of the Gakkai have seen such information. At the time of Usui Sensei's 21 days of austerity on Mt. Kurama - this mountain was a place of Tendai worship - not Christianity - and Kurama-dera temple was a secondary temple to the Shōren-in temple (the head of Tendai practice) on Mt. Hiei. On my next pilgrimage to Japan, we will have audiences with the head priest of Kurama-dera temple as well as a senior Ajari from Mt Hiei, and we will be specifically exploring and learning about the roots of both Tendai and Jodo Pure Land within the practice of esoteric Buddhism - so I would be happy to see contrary evidence to this so I can discuss with the priests and monks while there.
