    Calling them 'contractors' is just a way to manipulate these people into thinking the work they're doing is important, even if it's keeping them in the poor house. People love labels and titles.

    This is my first non-space video from this channel, I’ll give it a go! Thanks for the inspiration, I do think robots and the dangers that come with it need to be talked about more (not just taking peoples jobs but like world domination and stuff like in terminator or a different film I’m thinking of (covid brain fog) that was so scary).

    So what we've learned is that if there were not any minimum wage laws that minimum wage would be somewhere between $3hr and $5hr.

    The depths of greed never cease to amaze me. These companies are making more money than they could ever spend, but can't pay people doing a traumatic at times, service for them, but won't pay them a living wage. Ridiculous in my eyes.

    Spark could be super beneficial, I really do not know how much resources for this could be need, financial technological educational humans, but if create super advanced plan for reconstruction every city and every village on planet by all latest standards and technologies, it could give minimum in which way need to move. Just general plant for planet cities and villages reconstruction, with super advanced net environment. Suppose will be need much technological robots to create safe and beautiful environment for long and beautiful life in modern environment.

    so to work as a 'ghost worker' you earn 30c an hour, if you're lucky, the electricity you use alone would be more than what you earn. The economics alone do not stack, why do it?

    Some folks have a hard time living outside of their comfort zone. They delude themselves into thinking that everything they do to cater to that fear is justified. Like being a single mom living on social assistance, using the excuse that she has an autistic child that she needs to stay home for 24/7, even though the child spends most of the day at school. Her situation isn't unique, there are loads of single parents with special needs children who somehow manage to hold down a regular job to give that child a fighting chance at life.

    In this case, AI can do some real good, replacing human jobs....IFF it can self-moderate better, less humans need to be subjected to trauma. Jfc though, some ppl are really trash uploading this brutal content in the first place.

    Not sure how I feel about replacing humans jobs as we all need a job and it’s hard enough as it is to find a job… and when some people think they’re talking to a robot they’ll hang up or try a different option to speak to someone. Doesn’t always work because a robot can’t always give you that deep insight or human connection (thus far anyway, but I still don’t like the idea of humans losing their jobs regardless).

  • @JamesBiggar

    @JamesBiggar

    @@brandonhealy7158 Replacing human jobs is not the same as humans losing their jobs. A start up company can choose to employ ai instead of humans = no humans lost their jobs. They just aren't introducing new jobs, and no business owner is obligated to. You're free to run your business yourself, with human help, or with ai or some other tool(s). The reality is that there are some things in this world that humans don't need to do. We're not evolved to do. Monotonous tasks being one of them. You were not born to stand in one spot for 8-12 hrs/day sticking the same bolt in the same hole in the same part every 10 seconds of the day over and over and over. You could be doing something more productive for your potential - you're human, not a specialized bot. You can learn and do anything you want. You could be an entrepreneur, even. Checking groceries and counting chickens and such is not a practical career choice whether under threat from bots or not. If ai accomplishes anything, I hope it at least encourages people to do better for themselves. Can it be abused? Absolutely. Everything currently in existence has been misused or abused in some way. But people really need to stop being so insecure. If you're afraid of a bot taking your job, that means you need to step up your game. Prove you're better than the bot, otherwise the bot WILL replace you. This is just another way that natural law penetrates the human world whether we like it or not. The future doesn't belong to the strongest or the smartest, but to those most adaptable to change.
