John Donne (1572 - 1631), ordained an Anglican deacon and later priest, was a renowned English poet, scholar, and soldier. Metaphor and sensuality were two main elements in his works, such as "The Good Morrow", a beautiful love poem, first published in the collection "Songs and Sonnets" in 1633, a wonderful sample of great love poetry.
