It's also not only a design challenge, but a story and character driven challenge. The outfit isn't the only thing needed to win and everyone seems to forget that. Maybe her full fairytale story when presented to the judges wasn't as strong/funny as the top three. It's never just about the look, their personality needs to shine stronger as well.

It's hard to believe how much Aja changed in a few months before she went back in for All Stars. There was no question that she brought her back for her drama value. That girl was amazing indefinitely should have made it to the top in All Stars. They critiqued her very hard. I think they planned on her going home by the second episode. You know, I thought Kimora was bitchy and full of herself. However, with this, she's so down to earth and so caring. Her personality shines through in this episode and her excitement is infectious. Andrea Cigala this is why it came so surprising (to me, at least) when a lot of the girls at the reunion came for Valentina very harshly, including Shea and Sasha. I mean, I absolutely love and respect both Shea’s and Sasha’s work and talent, but it makes me wonder why they behaved the way they did. The three of them always showed support for the other queens when they were down, but who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Sara Li Leal Lam it took some time to understand this but Shea was super mad at everybody at the reunion because it was filmed after the finale so shea knew that she lost so she was veryyyyy bitter and angry. Also apparently valentina was the only one who got a standing ovation at the finale and some girls felt some type of way. I think 95% of critics to valentina aren’t valid. Nobody can control their fan and valentina had really crazy fans. All of this i learned from interviews and behind the scenes tea.
