Honestly I get out of all my sleep paralysis by saying the name of Jesus in my head then I get out out of it. Shows how powerful just mentioning Jesus Name is 🙏

I used to have sleep paralysis the last time I had it I opened my eyes and 2 VERY tall demons were standing in my bedroom with hoods and no face showing just black long robe and hoods on. I went to say Jesus name and one ran over and put his hand on my mouth and it sounded as if a actual hand was over my mouth with the muffled words. But the 3rd time I spoke the name of Jesus it all left That was right after I got saved. But praise our Father for his son Jesus Christ God delivered me from all of that attack I put on the full armour of God when I wake up and before bed. It is most definitely demonic!! Thank you Jesus Christ for my freedom! I am the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ!!!

The last time I had em, I just closed my eyes and said to myself that they are the figment of my half asleep brain. They disappeared. You know why? Because they are just hallucinations, not demons. We now know that sleep paralysis is something that happens to us every night, so that our body doesn't wonder off when our brain dreams (it locks it down to not mimic our movement inside the dream). The reason why people experience it consciously (and most people do), is because we regain consciousness to fast, while our body is still asleep. Essentially, we wake up in a half awake, half asleep state, where we are both aware of the surrounding, while we are also on the verge of dreaming (proven by the fact, that if at that point, you close your eyes and imagine a nice scenary for a few seconds, you will not only start the actual dream, but with some focus, you will experience lucid dreaming, which means that you will experience your dream fully conscious and capable of control in whichever way possible). Because we're in that middle state, our brains will try to wander with whichever perceived data it will get. This includes touching, smelling, seeing and hearing. In other words: your eyes signal will get to your brain. The brain will take the eyes signal and interprete it with the thoughts that you currently have. So if you wake up panicked and feeling restrained and your brain will think that it has to be something paranormal behind it (like a demon), your brain will interprete any signal that it will get and give it demonic properties. This way, normal shadows will become shadow people. A blanket over your torso will feel like a demon sitting on your chest. The sound of a cricket outside your window, will sound like steps inside your room or like someone calling your name, etc. None of it will be real, but your brain will interprete it in such way. The reason why your prayer helped you, is because it calmed your anxiety and put you out of panic mode and because you assumed that it will repel those demons. Your brains reacted to your thoughts and interpreted the same signals in a way that matched your new thoughts. That's all it is. Nothing spiritual, nothing fantastical. Nothing magical or demonic. Just a human function that some people need to educate themselves about to avoid getting panic attacks and thinking they are being attacked by demons.

Me too since 2019 till few days ago it happened to me

This happened to my brother once and since then he has strayed from God. I pray for him and will continue to. Please, if you can, pray for him to seek the everlasting life with the lord, and to know that God never left him nor will ever leave him.

Ever since I started to pray more my sleep paralysis went away and I feel so much better I don’t even think I need my meds anymore. I think my grandma is also watching over me

Thank you for addressing this and being real about it. So many don’t believe it happens as Christians. I have experienced this many times in the past. Through healing and growth through the Word, it no longer happens.

Mine is waking up with a panic attack when I got to bed too late and exhausted. But thank the Lord He has freed me from this and also, I always pray at night now before bed to a restful sleep, say Jesus' name and hold every demonic attempts captive. Welcoming the Holy Spirit to fill me up and asking God to protect me and my family through the night, Praise God!

​@deborahjimenez8304 I once had something like this when I was really new to believing God like rn I am but a little but bit new so I was sleeping in my living room I had a bed that can fold up and unfold to a bed i layed down and slept and then I felt evil around me like really bad and I knew I had to get up to see so I got up to see and nothing was there and then I noticed my body didn't feel like it was moving it felt like it was resting and then I relize I'm not awake so I try waking up again I heard these bad noices and things around me I knew I was Ina small loop I tried talking but I cunfused my voice with my conscience so I didn't know I was talking in my head but I thought I was actually speaking with my voice witch I wasn't and than I got up from my bed but my body still didn't feel me getting up so than my body somehow teleports back on the bed as if I never got up and than I tried so hard to calm my mind and body that I got rid of that feeling and than woke up actually woke up from a big long loop of demons tormenting me so now I've been trying to resist the temptation on me a lot

This has happened to me once before. But I said the name of Jesus and it left and I was able to move again. Thank you Jesus! I am unworthy of your love and forgiveness!

*This happened to me a few years back. I've never experienced sleep paralysis before so I didn't know that night was going to be different. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty so I got up to head to the kitchen. As soon as I sat up, I saw my body still lying in bed sleeping. From that moment on, I knew something was wrong. After that, I felt a strong force like my body was being pulled like a magnet. I couldn't see what was pulling me but it wanted to carry me THROUGH the window, like I was a ghost that could just go through walls. I was so scared and didn't want to die in my sleep so I started saying the name of Jesus. I tried really hard but my mouth was muffled like someone or something was stopping me from saying Jesus' name so I tried harder until my body started being half awake from struggling so much. At that point, I still couldn't talk so I used up all my energy to say it. It went from J..Jjj...Jjjj..Je.. Jesu... until finally, I shouted, "JESUS!!! JESUS!!! IN THE NAME OF JESUS, GO AWAY!!". That probably lasted for about 5 mins but it felt like an eternity. As soon as I said His name, it left me like a whirlwind as if it was scared of Jesus. This was a couple of years before the pandemic but I will never forget that night. So to those who are still reading, THIS IS REAL. THIS REALLY HAPPENS TO PEOPLE. The good news is that if this ever happens to you, you can make it stop with the name of Jesus. That's how powerful He is, that even His name has power and authority over all demons. He is the one and only God over all existence, all powerful and nothing like Him. If you fully surrender your life to Jesus and say sorry for all the wrong things you've done, He WILL forgive you. He won't be like, "hmmm.. let me think about it first". No. Jesus is ready to forgive ALL THE TIME and He has all the power to protect you. So if you dedicate your life to Him, He becomes responsible to protect your soul. That's how Jesus' name can make demons run away. Again, this is real. Don't treat this as just some random comment on the internet. Give your life to Jesus today, you won't regret it. I'm in my 30s and He's still protecting me to this day.* 😊

Pls pray for me 🙏🏽 for months I have not been able to sleep and it is currently 9 in the morning… I have terrible insomnia and can’t sleep at all… I called upon the name of Jesus one night because I was being spiritually attacked, then the next day in broad daylight as sleep was catching up to me- I was spiritually attacked again but I was in a waiting room with people all around me and I couldn’t move or speak- I moved my mouth to say Jesus and I broke free but I felt like there was still something or someone in that room that was trying to spiritually affect me… I can’t sleep at night because I have a paranoia that something will happen to my family if we all sleep at once… my family are angry with me because they say I’m lazy for sleeping all day but they don’t understand that I am stressed and can’t sleep at all… please pray for me and god bless you all 🙏🏽✝️✨

Happen to me when I became a born believer, never went through it before. I was scared at 1st but then I said in my mind, God got me! Whatever was there left and I slept good after that. Thank you Lord 🙏🏽❤ I didn't forget.

Yesterday it happened to me i tired to wake up but couldn't then i pray to God i was released. All glory to him. Amen

In fear, in pain and even in my most lazy moment I pray The Lord's Prayer. This prayer seats in my consciousness. When bad dreams or sleep paralysis attacked me I woke up uttering this prayer and holding into it..I even recite the Apostles' Creed. My parents, our catechist and the Church taught us the power of these prayers when we were young. Praise You and Thank You Oh Lord Jesus Christ.

I can confirm that this message is true. In the past, when I was living in habitual sin, I was plagued by sleep paralysis and nightmares at least three to four times a week. But after resubmitting my life to God and repenting, it had never bothered me again, not even once. Glory to God!

I had this experience in 2016. One night, I fell asleep in the living room. I woke up later around midnight. I felt invisible hands on my neck trying to choke. I cannot scream but I said the LORD'S Prayer in my heart and slowly the invisible hands loosen grip. Later I went up to my room to sleep but again it attacked me later maybe around 3am. Nowadays I never go to sleep without saying a prayer.

Guys, I have never had sleep paralysis before, but my best friend's aunt has. Basically, her aunt was sleeping, and woke up, and saw a dark smokey figure. My friend told me this about a year ago. Her aunt looked straight at the demon and said, "For Jesus Christ, and the blood that he shed, leave now." And figure disappeared. This is a strong sentence, and if you ever get into a situation such as sleep paralysis or seeing a demon, I would recommend saying this.

It honestly doesn't scare me despite how often it happens. I really just get pissed off that I can't fully wake up, and I'm flexing completely trying to move more. I even got up once, jumped up, and swung into one, but I ended up just falling against my wall...

​​​​@@Karen_Buschtrue, we shouldn't fear. First time I had it in my childhood, i was dead scared, thought i would die in fact it traumatised me for an hour. I wasn't a Christian then, I'm from Nepal. Last time i had it (few months ago), a black figure was sitting on top of me and pushing against my chest and stomach. I felt the weight of 60-70 kilos. Then I tried to take Jesus'name, the figure started hissing so angrily. I actually smiled cause I knew it had to flee. And it did flee. After i was able to move again, i could still feel the heavy weight of it over me lingering for a minute or two.

I experienced all of those, and I am not defeated, because I call upon the Mighty Name of my precious JESUS ❤❤❤and in an instant those nuisances gone!

The night before I was baptised in the Holy Spirit this occurred for the first time in my life. As a 14 year old boy I was so scared that I blacked out during the episode. I awoke again and that same feeling was coming over me, I managed to whisper out to my aunts that were next to me who immediately woke up and started praying. Through that one encounter I tormented myself with fear over the next 6 months. Slowly drifting away from God after a year or two to stop the thoughts. Last year I came back to God and now he has slowly revealed the dominion and authority he has given us over the demonic. Set free by the blood of Jesus💯💯

This happened to me 30 years ago. In my mind I called on the name of Jesus. The demonic presence withdrew. I indeed felt paralyzed. I didn't see but felt a dark presence and felt like I could hear something. It never returned like that again.

It has always happened to me five years ago I even not dare to sleep at day 😢and at night most I dreamed was that someone would come and catch me or look at me ,my feeling was they want to do something on me😢 every thing I can hear and feeling,I opened my eyes with scary mind but reality I don't open my eyes😢 😢the most difficult thing is I can feeling,can hear so I put the Bible on my head or my side while I sleep but until now I have difficult sleep at daytime it still happening sometimes 😅😢

I've had this happen a couple times when i was a kid. i used to wake up and couldn't move. the scariest part was that I'd start screaming for my mom but no sound came out my mouth. my mom had taught me the Lord's prayer so i used to say it to myself, and after a couple of seconds i fully wake up and am able to move again. after i told my mom about the experiences she got me and my other siblings baptized and ever since then i haven't had that happen anymore. it's a terrifying experience. I'm grateful to my family for teaching me the Lord's prayer. it saved me

I once had it, but I didn't see any being, I just felt it on my stomach, so I tried to pray to Jesus, but I couldn't open my mouth, so I prayed in my head to Jesus to wake me up and help me, dark being on my stomach immediately left me, I saw light and woke up.

Similar to what happened to me. I couldn't move and speak and the dark figure approached me in bed and dropped himself over me. Then I remembered what other Godly people said, to pray even in the mind and call on the name of Jesus Christ.

Yep had this happen and they would cuss and scare me first name I called was jesus. It used to happen a lot then I prayed about it and it hasn't happened since but I definitely will rebuke

I swear man I'm not usually the most religious person but when I have my almost daily sleep paralysis I could swear that I feel an evil presence and could almost feel the intentions of said evil spirits, I can just sense and have this feeling that they are trying to intentionally scare me, people say that they are just hallucinations but the presence I feel when this thing is happening is too strong for me to believe so..

God is real, if evil is real the God is real. We fall into the spiritual realm when going into sleep paralysis and in that realm demons are able to torment you. I will l pray for you! God bless

This happened to me a lot. I was scared at first. Then learned to rebuke. Now, though it rarely ever happens anymore, i laugh and relax and go back to sleep. They can't hurt born again Christians. Its all bark and no bite. Don't be intimidated folks.

I have insomnia and can't sleep sometimes. I've been getting better at sleeping in the dark but always feel like something is watching me. I pray and rebuke anything and everything trying to attack me. I hear something running towards me during sleep paralysis but it doesn't scare me, and I ignore it. Demons feed off of fear, and I learned that long ago. Always good to have family members pray for you too

Sometimes I get sleeping paralyses and I struggle to breath like I'm almost suffocating, and I thought that it was a natural occurance, but now I know of the dark spirits, thank you for the message and thank you my Lord Jesus Christ thank you.

I had this and I immediately started yelling in my brain the blood of jesus has power and i made a prayer and it went away no attacks since then

i've been thru this many times in the past. Hearing demons shrill screaming in my ear while choking and holding me down. I could only scream Jesus' name for help. I'm saved every night by Jesus until i moved out of that house. Praise Lord Jesus for his protection and love.

I had a type of sleep paralysis where it felt like I was being strangled. I hadn't told anyone about it and some other forms of that happened too. I thank God for giving me the strength to go through that ✝️✝️✝️

I’ve heard demons, trying to attack me in my sleep paralysis since the age of 11. I’ve had my bed shake countless of times. And at my lowest I heard demonic spirits telling me my house was the most haunted place in the world while my bed was shaking like I was in the middle of an earthquake. After I gave my life to Jesus, I have not had demonic spirits attack during my sleep paralysis.

I had this a lot when I was younger. One time I saw an apparition of a hatted man between my bed and the wall which was impossible. I could barely move my lips to say "Jesus" and then it was gone. There's a bit more to this story but I'll keep it short for the comments section.

I feel like i need to share this i had sleep paralysis for the first time and it was a very scary shadow man coming toward me and i said jesus is with me and it vanished and i woke up

I had this happen so many times and the last time was the worst, there were many of them. My husband always managed to wake me but the last time it was so much worse. I took it to the Lord and asked Him to take it from me and it has not happened since. I dealt with this since i was a child, im so thankful i recognized what it was and God delivered me. Oh gosh, I've seen some gnarly things in sleep paralysis states....so happy it doesn't happen to me anymore.

They used to come to me in my sleep when I was about 6-7 years old. No joke. The memory still lingers to this day. Heavy pressure on your chest. Almost like a demon was sitting on me. It went away as I got older and haven’t experienced it since thank the Lord.

I’ve experienced this many times-and the first several times it was so horrifying! It never felt evil tho-I was just afraid I was going to die! Eventually I learned to just roll with it, as I felt I was being pulled back into blackness and sleep-there was a buzzing in my head that grew louder and louder until I was “out” again. Oddly enough, I began to have dreams which I later learned were visions-I am convinced I’ve saved lives by changing plans or convincing others to change theirs, all due to what I knew would happen, based on my dreams while in and out of sleep paralysis. I too have learned that if I call on the name of Jesus during an episode, I will either fall asleep peacefully without the dread and the almost vibrating noise, or I will awaken. Strange in any case. Only happens during extremely emotionally stressful times, and usually occurs years apart.

I had this happen only once to me around 5 years ago! The only problem with my experience is that I hadn’t yet even fallen to sleep. I was watching preaching on the tv while I laid on my bed. It being almost 12am I decided it was time for bed, so I rolled over onto my side and stuck my phone on the charge then rolled onto my back. With my eyes open I began to say my prayers when suddenly around mid prayer I heard a loud bam like something got knocked over in my living room so I paused just for a sec to listen because I pray out loud sometimes and soon as I do “boom” whole body goes completely numb except for my eyes! I’m thinking like what in the world at first like well am I having a stroke or heart attack or something but I’m just paralyzed there I can still see & hear the preaching on the tv if I cut my eyes right and I can still see my phone lit up sitting on the nightstand when I cut my eyes left. So imma try to somehow get to my phone so I’m trying to bring back feeling in my body by making myself move but nothing is happening. By this time my phone done went into sleep mode but the tv still has preaching playing so I’m looking right at the tv as Im trying my best to keep calm and not to freak out when all of a sudden I get a tingling feeling like a shiver up the spine that makes your hairs stand up sensation of a presence I feel like just entered my room! Sure enough I look straight and down towards my feet to look in the direction of my bedroom door and there is a dark black floating cloud/mist/fog of nothing but something! It had shapes but no physical features at all just emptiness void of everything. We started off in a Mexican stare down situation when this thing decided to start swaying left and right and gliding my my in what felt like a sick sexual seduction type dance or something it was weird. Then when it gets to the foot of my bed it looks like it leap frogs onto the bed and starts back gliding my kinda through me but more above me until it gets to around my chest and neck area and BOOM! It felt just like this thing flops down and takes a seat on my lungs! I already couldn’t move now I can’t breath so kinda sorta starting to go into panic mode because it felt like this thing intention was to rape me is exactly how I felt. But instead of freaking out I started praying and it was like it instantly understood what I was doing and didn’t like it but it wasn’t budging back any!! But it’s was when i got to the point of pure helplessness and almost hopelessness all I did was say in my mind looking dead at this thing was “I command you in the named and blood of Jesus Christ to get off me!” This thing flies off and all the way back to the bedroom door. So i command it in the name and blood of Jesus Christ to get out my room and it did. And when it did all the feeling in my body comes back and I’m eventually able to sit up and get up but then I don’t feel like in my heart it’s completely gone so at this point I’m like a fearless ticked off leader who’s just been almost violated and taken advantage of so now that I know Jesus is with me and He has the power not that thing I go through my house and finally found it in a back storage room it floats through half wall half window outside so I turn run to the front door go outside and proceed into running this thing down my driveway and across the road into some planted pines in the name and blood of Jesus and still haven’t to this day never had that ever happen to me again since then! I was also 100% sober, not sleep deprived, or anything like that or going thru stress or anything

This just happened to me a week ago. Thank you for the clarity.

Mine was demonic. It happened throughout my life from my 20’s up to my 50’s. UNTIL I learned to use the name of Jesus. I called on Jesus mentally because they would put their hand over my mouth or twist my arms behind my head. It was the darkest evilest feeling. But once I realized what it was and commanded it to leave, it just stopped happening. Mine happened just as I was falling asleep. I would feel it coming and stopping myself from falling asleep because it was so scary. Other times I couldn’t stop it. I try to scream to my my husband laying next to me but couldn’t. It was always before I fell asleep

That’s crazy how you’ve endured decades of such evil demonic forces. you are one of God’s greatest soldiers! Before I got saved by Christ I would also endure such events and I especially relate to the part where you said that you tried to scream but couldn’t. That’s the EXACT same thing that happened to me! @@daughteroftheHighest. My mother used to use the ouiji board with us kids. That’s the open door as well as showing us Horoscopes. I knew about God, but I knew nothing about God if that makes since. But the fact is, God protected me for such a time as this. I know how to use the name of Jesus and pray over my life, my home, my children and my spirit is one of a warrior and never understood why until after I found God.

I’ve fought with real evil demons for months and months almost every night . That’s also why I believe in God even more . The demons are real and took me to hell 3 times one of them Jesus also appeared and showed me the truth about them . Praise the Lord one day they will stop bothering me completely AMEN

Whenever this has happened to me I repeat the Lord's prayer over and over in my mind until I'm able to move freely

When I was 16 years old I began having sleep paralysis and for 7 years it terrified me to the point where I stopped sleeping really at all. I kept hearing a voice inside of me repeat "don't be afraid" over and over, so finally I had enough, and I told myself that the next time it happened, that I was not going to be afraid. That very night sure enough it happened again and although you can't move anything but your eyes during sleep paralysis, I yelled at it in my mind, and told it "in God's name to go back to Hell where it belonged" and it disappeared immediately. It stopped messing with me completely after that. 7 years of torment and all I needed to do was listen to God and stop being afraid all along. A lot of people don't realize it's an actual demon when it comes to sleep paralysis but it most certainly is.

This is exactly what been happening to me. I have been going to sleep exhausted, and having bad nightmares, waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning, I get up Read my Bible say a few prayers and go back to sleep, last night was the best I've slept in a week. Thank you Lord Jesus for protecting me, in the name of your beautiful son Jesus Christ and the holy Spirit Amen 🙏.

I use to suffer from this alot growing up, when i was still of the world, it use to be the thing that i feared above all things, the last time i was fearful i cried out to God in my heart and mind to release me from this attack and save me. A sense of peace and a weight lifted off me, a floating orb of light came down and rested beside my head and i was no longer fearful. I had this twice more times after that and was no longer fearful at all. For God is my Father and i shall fear no evil for he is with me! Hallelujah!

This happened to me a couple years ago. I was very disappointed when it ended because the demon attacking me had a fat ass.

Ive only experienced this once. I was deep in depression and almost took my life.. I begged God for help and prayed for what felt like eternity. I started speaking in hebrew and I cant even speak hebrew.. I said "Lord I am eternally yours" like 100 times (I learned the translation months afterwards) when I went to sleep I saw a demon in my room. It wailed the louded scream I've ever heard and I woke up. Im pretty sure I pissed the demon off turning to Christ instead of dying. God is good.

One night I awoke to see the silhouette of my husband standing in our bedroom doorway with his back to me. I figured he was checking on our kids. I rolled onto my side and saw my husband was sound asleep beside me in bed. I felt sheer panic and woke him up to search the house. He thought I was overreacting. I’d never heard of sleep paralysis and didn’t even consider it could be a demon. It was such a realistic experience that I thought an intruder was in the house. I’ve not had any more visual deceptions, but sometimes there will be auditory tricks.

I’ve had it so many times followed by panic attacks. Then the panic attacks don’t go away unless I go to the ER. It’s so annoying and I have sleep apnea. Please pray and rebuke it from me in Jesus name!

It happened to me yesterday, I kept asking Jesus for help, when nothing happened I tried rebuking them in the Name of Jesus, but still nothing happened. I couldn't feel the Holy spirit either, I felt so alone and completely chained up. I felt as I'd I had chains around my stomach, arms and head. Later that day I began feeling great pain in the exact places that I felt chained in. I guess I wasn't close enough to God. Stay strong my brethren and walk in the Spirit
