Cool, enjoyable,informative talk.My ancestors lived in Lahore before shifting to Amritsar around 1850.They were engaged in jewellery trade & they probably resided in area called Ladhowal.All these informations are still in writing with Pandits of Haridwar where we go to immerse the ashes after death of our near & dear.Historically Chand Kaur's ambishion is blamed for the downfall of Sikh empire.Lahore is believed to be named after Lav & Kasur after Kush both sons of Lord Rama.Historically,majority of Lahorians were always hindu Khatris.

That’s why when Pakistan got independence people became rich over night. They claimed the houses of Hindu took over their businesses and some of them found gold and cash hidden inside the walls. Because many Hindu’s and Sikh thought one day they will come back.

I am from south India. Though not a serious student of history I still adore history and historical places. When ever I visit a two hundred or thousand year old temple, fort or mosque a part of me stays in the present time but a part of me simply drifts into that bygone era and visualizes the people, place and life in those days. I am not sure if I would ever be able to visit Lahore, Pakistan. But with your videos you are filling that lacune. Thank you Janab Zeeshan Hussain Saab. You are a great insaan a great human being. We lived in Lahore 9 years in Gawalmandi till 1973 and done my schooling in Watan Islamia High School and I am well familiar with the lots of narrow galis of Lahore. Mr Zeesha’s podcast very informative and interesting. Haven’t visited Lahore long time. Watching you from London.

Indeed, One Jalandhar origin person can relate to another one from the same region. My ancestors also moved from Jalandhar and I have same type of love for Lahore that Zeeshan bhai have. Great interview. My parents and whole family from both sided came from Lahore to Delhi in 1947. Very useful information. They lived in Kucha Balomal near Sitla maata mandir. My grandfather worked for Indian Railways in Lahore. I have heard a lot about Lahore from everyone older in family. I was born in Delhi and live in the US.

Love watching his vlogs, appreciate his work to explore an exciting city like Lahore quoting "Jihne Lahore nahi vekhiya uh jamaian nahi"

I am from jalandhar bala aLa sir. I am very glad to heard that ur family is from jalandhar too. Most of the muslim population used to live in 9 bastian in jalandhar. Nusrat sahab’s family was from jalandhar too from basti sheikh

It is important to remind people that these outstanding buildings and locations are a part of a common history and does not belong to anyone except to the pages of history and to the land where they were established. It is a matter of pride that Lahore has such outstanding architecture. The only thing to focus on is that efforts should be made to preserve history so that people from all over the world can come and appreciate all the beauty of these ancient civilisations. Religion should not be a reason to wipe out the past, no matter which side of the border we are on. Preserve it for posterity.
