Why does the tune you play doesn't not sound like the up down stumming patern

Change the D to a Cm at the end of the chorus to sound closer to the original. Nice cover!

You definitely did this song justice...beautiful! I couldn't get it out of my head like a million other people but now I can play it. Although a female voice doesn't work as well. I didn't quite understand the strum pattern bit I guess it's all down strokes in a pattern. Also have trouble with the Em chord. Thanks for posting ❤

Could you do a tutorial of that DUU strum? I can’t get it to sound as rhythmic, it’s sounding really smooth and “flowy” when you play it
