Untapped Inspiration: John U. Bacon at TEDxUofM

Спорт

John U. Bacon is the author of five books, including "Cirque du Soleil: The Spark," and two national bestsellers, "Bo's Lasting Lessons: The Legendary Coach Teaches the Timeless Fundamentals of Leadership," and "Three and Out: Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines in the Crucible of College football." His next book, "Fourth and Long: The Fight for the Soul of College Football," draws on his speech's themes, and comes out this fall. He teaches at Northwestern and Michigan.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

"History was never inevitable - Individuals matter, and moments matter" Really gives us some perspective! That's one of my favorite quotes from this year's TEDxUofM.

"Two guys, one room, one moment." Way to bring the perspective and inspiration through history's vivid lens, John.

I've passed this video to all history teachers I know. The passion alone makes it worth watching!

Only you would take time to respond to individuals! I'm sure you've met many people along the way but I've shared the ice with you a few times at Yost during the summers and even got to see you when you did your book signing out here in Denver. Your class was awesome and I make sure to tell all future students to do their best to hear your speak on campus. I can't wait for the next book in September!

History is/was my favorite subject in School. I don't agree though. Race Relations in this country have gone down; and NOT improved in the past 35 Years or so.
