For the fan that ask me via EM what it was like meeting Elvis. Well first of all, it was 3:30in the morning in the Memphian Theatre parking lot. I didn't know it was Elvis coming towards me, as he also had on a black fedora hat. I reconized his walk. I was the best christmas present I could have ever gotten, it being 12/23/73. I released the picture to RCA records two years ago, and it's been in the Promised Land FTD & Stax Records CD's.

This is mid 1973 ive read somewhere that this was at Ed Parkers karate studio in LA & on approaching the studio Elvis spotted a big sign that read " In Person today Elvis Presley" And apparently Elvis went nuts because of his Contract that he could not have any appearances advertised outside of his managements approval & the sign was removed....Great footage & you can feel the excitement he generated everywhere he went.

Apparently his hair was a mess and didn't want it washed or cut so he wore the turban, and of course he was a prankster and would do it for reaction too. Elvis always wore what he wanted to wear, and wore it well. Why on earth do folk have to assume he was high? He turned up to see the kid's karate demonstration and present awards, I'm sure the kids loved having him there. Col would have been furious if hed known he was there for "free", haha.

It's always good to see rare film of Elvis-I'd say it was about 1971. Also seen is Ed Parker-founder of martial arts Kenpo Style of karate,the symbol of which Elvis had on a black guitar.

A mi lo que me parece es que Elvis está rodeado de niños y les fima autografos y todo y ese tipo que entra y le da algo en la mano, la seguridad en apuros, hay cámara filmando, algo raro..... y a él se le nota dopado....pareciera que lo único que le importa es lo que entregan en la mano. Creo que Elvis no sólo consumía pastillas también otras drogas. Después de su Divorcio no existen tomas donde se le vea totalmente ecuánime. I Love You Elvis, no debiste hacerte tanto daño.

No disrespect but this to me is sad to see what the drugs were doing to him. Here’s someone who’s drug addiction is so out of control, those around him saw it and still enabled him and laughed to stay within the circle.
