Rumor has it the late great John C. Holmes was doing a film in the area circa 1980,s ..They were eating at a popular famous place at the time called Young's Hotel....the story goes John got very drunk.. wandering outside he got in a boat that was tied to the shore and he untied it and started drifting from shore..a small crowd had gathered by the time the police arrived as John was dancing naked in the boat and his oversized endowment was on display...ended up he complied with police and had started sobering up and emphatically apologized... He wasn't arrested and signed autographs to the staff & cops .
