Unscripted #45 | Stories that touched my Heart | Shaykh Waleed Basyouni
The Vice-President of AlMaghrib Institute, Shaykh Waleed Basyouni joins us this week on our Unscripted Podcast #45 by Islam21c.
The Shaykh shares insights into his funniest and most generous teacher, stories of the late grand mufti, Shaykh Ibn Baz (raḥimahu Allāhu), the differences between studying in the East and teaching in the West, advice to scholars, scandals of leaders, the "compromise" on rulings in America, why we should make friends with news outlets, how to navigate through the challenges of Islamic media, and the crisis of duaat!
With special thanks to AlMaghrib for arranging this podcast with Ustadh Majed Mahmoud, which was filmed at IlmFest in Birmingham 2020.
