The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

    He literally assisted bill bluff ffs, are you dougs alt account or something??? When handz says I think I'm gonna go with it, doug immediately says I don't envy your decision. Its the opposite of good integrity and it was him assisting his wealthy friend, because doug knows that bill is never value betting here, and he's cleared off so he doesn't have to face the music of a thwarted bluff!!

    Doug assists bills bluff. That's why he never put emphasis on that hand. He knows he was out of line for speaking to handz when he said he thinks he's gona call. Doug says I don't envy you you, literally instantly when handz said that. So so poor from doug!!! You shouldn't say something like that! ESPECIALLY if you own the casino. He literally changed handz mind. It was disgraceful from doug. Doug and Bill are close pals and doug gave his bluff the assist it so needed. No way is it not a bluff, all value bets are staying. A lot of people will say it was an easy call because it was the villain's last hand. That's kinda true, as are other factors supporting a call. However, play for stakes that really matter before you judge too harshly. I've never played that big, but I've played with money that hurts to lose and, when you do, you do not want to stick in your whole stack with the littlest over pair. I think 95% of people would lay that down, and of the ones that won't probably most of them are calling because they are bad not because they are good.

  • @douglasblum309

    @douglasblum309

    Жыл бұрын

    I disagree, I think that is an easy call actually. Bill didn't 4-bet pre-flop, just called...probably would have 4-bet with AAs, KKs. Did min-raise on the flop but then checked on the turn, again if he had anything would have been betting for value on the turn. Then shoves on the river which says he has nothing or very strong hand. I lean towards nothing with the board texture and calling.

Doesn't matter what he NORMALLY does, nor how good he, or anyone else actually is. This is an unprecedented situation, not normally run across, and that shove was moronic, in the extreme. NOT something one would normally do- given the way the entire hand was played. In fact? All the other players side action revolved around a 6 or low card. NONE chose a face card- Because the action, dictated strength, that wasn't there during the hand. I'll stand by what I said. Showing your hand when the opponent is all in is often allowed. Some places it is frowned upon, but it’s usually not illegal. This appears to be one of those places where it is totally fine. To me I think it depends on if you know the other players because if your playing with all ransoms some idiot could be like “you should call/fold because of yata yata” but if your playing with friends they won’t do that.
