Just wish you could actually look through the blueprints though, I’ve looked through everything and there all children of an hidden actor class.

Would love to see how you go about packaging it and actually inviting you’re friends to play. Also any example videos making minor modifications (like a new level, new character, or new guns) would be extremely helpful and appreciated!

Wow. I'm sure there is going to be a lot of videos and tutorials on Lyra. I've been really hoping they would include something like this with UE5. It's gonna be so much fun.

This has Potential to save a project I was working on Unity that I had to stop working on due to the limitations of online

I would love to see how you implement an ability using the GAS system into this.

It would be awesome to see some tutorials on how to add more abilites

I have been searching for a tutorial for the following (regarding Lyra): 1. Make a whole account system, add leaderboards, etc. 2. Make a character select system (and the IGN will be colored based on which team you are on) I hope you will make these soon. Thank you!

As soon as this video started and I saw Lyra I was reminded of UT4. I hope they just scrap it and start over in UE5.

Hey smart poly, you mention to write in the comment section if people would like the character reskinned. yes please, I think I managed to retarget with the new IK retarget system, but can't figure how to replace the character with mine. even the controls they are not using the action events in the Input preferences. even though they teach it that way in their start a game from example.

How do you actually edit the player character and the bots? Like if I wanted to make it where you could interact with a door that required you to press a button to open

1) Do bots know how to jump yet???? 2) If yes, can you look in the map and see if they are using special [coded] Jump Nav points or something telling them the spots they can jump? Or can they jump anywhere they think they can reach - to get to the player? This is very important, ty.

Could you just release this game on steam as pass it off as your own or is there a copyright claim on it preventing that so its only used as a resource pack?

my guess is up to 100 maybe. I am probably going to test this and do a live stream soon on this channel. We can stress test a dedicated server build of the game and see how many players we can get in one session

@@anurag12181 that only because they have more tutorials and a better forum. the unreal engine has always been better in my opinion but now with the new unreal engine forums where people can easy share things like code snippets will change that.

I wish they actually made step by step guides on replication... Feels like the blueprints alone can't do enough. The gameplay ability system does sound interesting... I have to take a look. I would love to add smooth replication system on one of my projects but it's been one of the most painful things when developing especially when the project wasn't started from the replication in mind (came up later that it would be cool).

you can do quite a bit with blueprints. ive made lots of multiplayer games with only blueprint. im working on some tutorials

Multiplayer third person shooter games are garbage. Why? Because you can stand behind cover and look at other players, and peak and the most convenient time. And imo, there is no competitive aspect to a third person shooter game. Single player sure, got nothing against that.
