Moustafa is one of the very few who teaches you the best practices for everything he instructs; even though it's an animation tutorial, he keeps teaching you how to code efficiently. Thank you.

Massive respect for not only showing the animation portion, but going above and beyond and showing the input system from scratch as well. Great job!

Hi there! Great tutorial. Ive actually followed something similar to this before but instead for an Player character, I did it for a NPC. However, the trouble im running into is the last part for telling the AI to use the blend space correctly. right now it looks like its only using the forward animation even though I made 8 way direction animations for it, same as for your character here. And i cant seem to find information online to help with this issue.
Hello! Great video there, thank you kindly for the tutorial! BTW, 14:35, I have a problem with integrating Enhanced input local player system, the error says "bp_player object is not compatible with player controller object reference", could you help please? I am new to UE so please let me know how to fix it. Thank you!
tried this on a 3rdperson template, so didnt work however i can tell it would have had i used a regular map, great tutorial thanks much friend
My character is just spinning around, I followed everything exactly as you did it 😅😅
Where have you been all my life?
This literally could not have come at a better time. I was just starting to work on some movement, I appreciate it :D

any idea how to have WASD movement with an Isometric camera?
Is there a way of getting foot IK to work with the Blendspace? I got it to work but I have to turn off IK to make the legs move. It works perfect without it.
Can we use the animations in our projects? 😃
Here's a tip: You can click Snap to Grid, then you won't have to hold Shift while dragging animations into the Blendspace.

That works too
what if i dont have diagonal animations? how can i rotate my character to move to diagonal direction?
This is great, but why the arms stay like that? does the animations mainly focus on the legs?
@PixelHelmet
Жыл бұрын
That’s just how the animator designed the animations I’m using. They are not the best.
Hello Bro, how are you? Could you please make a video regarding animations? where you get free animations, how to create your own aninations etc. ?
How would you make the work for an aim at mouse game with a fixed camera?

I have a slight issue, when I am moving back left or back left I occasionally see some twitching happening. Does anyone know why this is happening, or how to fix this. Any help is appreciated
How about if I want to make my character face towards the camera when I press S on the keyboard like moving backward?

Hi, you can do this by adding an input action with the key “Mouse X/Y” where you have both the X and Y axis. Then change the input action type to Axis 2D. Then in the player, use the functions “Add Controller Yaw” for the X and “Add Controller Pitch” for the Y. I’ll create a tutorial on it very soon.

@@LOL1423derp92 This video is for third person. You can move the camera as well but I didn't move it in the video. For moving the camera: 1. Make a new Action Input, and go in there and change the Variable type to Axis 2D 2. Go to the Player blueprint and add the Action Input as an event, just like what we did with the movement in the video. 3. Use the function called Add Controller Yaw and plug in the X value from the event into the Scale value. Works :)
How to make if i go right he turn to right and walk to right side same left and back?

In the character blueprint, click on the character movement component. In there you need to find a checkbox saying “orient rotation to movement”. I believe it’s at the bottom at the rotation settings. You can watch my other video for more help: kzread.info/dash/bejne/da2ElpWjnKyohcY.html
