Exploring Mothman's Eerie Realm | Shiver Expedition

Ойын-сауық

In the 1960's, tragic events took place in Point Pleasant on the coast of Ohio, West Virginia, when a huge bird with red eyes hounded the town. The bird hasn't been seen for 45 years and remains to be one of America's biggest mysteries. Was it some sort of supernatural wonder or just rumours?

I started watching the "Boogeymen" series, just because of the Mothman episode, which is the creepiest so far. I've also watched "The Mothman Prophecies" but I don't remember men in black, ufo's and the military making an appearance. I really liked the male skeptic's point of view - he didn't instantly revoke the existence of one such entity like most skeptics in the series so far. Thanks for the video!

I watched another documentary that had really good evidence about mothman being a Thunderbird sighting (another cryptid). Thunderbird is supposed to be a man-sized bird with red glowing eyes. I find a rare giant bird to be semi-believable, and believe a lot of the American native cryptid stories to be interesting. "The thunderbird is said to create thunder by flapping its wings and lightning by flashing its eyes".

Had the pleasure of meeting the Mothman in 2016. Unfortunately He's gotten a bad rap. ALSO definitely NOT The ONLY "unusual" otherworldly Resident in the Village. The 3 days we visited only the locals were there. "The Mothman: Paladin of Pt. Pleasant" by BME Chaney, author, is one chapter included in the book chronicling some of our many encounters - WE never seek to disturb the Unseen; they seek us out. We are respectful, but also always travel under protection as not all Entities have the best intention. Our sojourns always lead to locations within areas emitting strong electromagnetic energy, those places wherein alternate Realms intersect with our 3 Dimensional World. "Platinum Coast Paranormal Investigations, Inc ~ Across Ley Lines" (c) Video evidence captured by PCPI "psychographers", those who are able/permitted to photograph ("audiographers") recording sounds/communication with that which is for most, invisible, etc. :) NO special "equipment required. It hasn't really changed Pt. Pleasant, except for when people come only to party, forgetting that this beautiful place is Home to the people who live there. But for the troublemakers, Instant Karma often manifests in less than "pleasant" ways! For most of the Year this perfectly preserved Village's aura is that of Time suspended in Amber. There was a reason George Washington was there in 1770, and standing at the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers, stated "What a Pleasant Point", thereby naming the village. ;)

The sceptic with the idea that it's all due some sort of chemically-induced hallucination seems quite reasonable - this made much more likely by the near vicinity of a military munitions area and the military's apparent edginess throughout this episode. (Were munitions all they kept in stock there?) To side-step into the realm of conspiracy theory - could the military possibly be testing a neurological spray on a local population? Don't forget eyes were inflamed right? That screams 'side effects.' Under the effects of a hallucinatory drug - what might the illuminated rear lights of an ordinary car look like to a driver following behind? Glowing red eyes.

Now I do believe these sightings of the Mothman are real, no doubt but I'm wondering why local law enforcement didn't approach these " men in black" being they were strangers come to town just hanging around and coming up to peoples homes, WHY were they not confronted and found out who in the hell they were? That would sure be done in these small towns today. Strangers show up, looking out of place and acting weird of yes law enforcement will be upon it. Seems very odd.

Mothman was someones good idea to put the town on the map and make money! The important point is at the end, thousands of people from all over the world now come to the town, Money talks!

Then why is the mothman still being spotted in other states? To get them "on the map" also? Like Bigfoot?

Even if it is was just for money, have you seen the roads? Town needs money lol. However, they have even spotted the Mothman over seas so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pretty lacklustre documentary. The last 20 minutes or so felt like a sales/tourist pitch from the mayor of Point Pleasant, showing off all the local attractions, festivals and merchandise. Come on down!

These skeptics are so damn arrogant .They know it all you see, and the rest of the witnesses are just mistaken in some way. Just the tricky human mind at work in people of a lesser education you see. Funny you never see any of them staying in Known paranormal spots, like say a haunted old prison or Hospital overnight.
